It worked fine, until it didn't. I had it for about 100 days, then it stopped working. Apparently it's also out of warranty, so I'm SOL.

I have used the all in one scanner/printer/fax machines for going on 10 years. What this product lacks in printing ability, it makes up for in speed and convenience. I sell artwork on the internet and need a scanner that can keep up with repeated, long term use. In the last 5 days, I have scanned in upwards of 1000 images. Not once has the program "glitched" or the machine needed to take a break from overheating. With a bigger scanning area than the all in ones, I get more image per scan. Due to its height being less than the standard multi-scanners, it is much easer to scan as I place images down on the scanning bed rather than up. This is an unintended ergonomic delight; less fatigue and increased scanning speed. Each image takes roughly 10 seconds to scan and the image. Finally, this scanner is super light weight. You can move from one place to another or even bring it on a business trip with no problems.

I noticed something not long after I started using this scanner (and, unfortunately, I wasn't able to find this out within the return period)--the left side of scanned images are warped and uneven, making the left side of the image look like I didn't line up the edge properly. This is especially apparent with text documents. At first, I thought I was just not lining the pages up, but I made absolutely sure that I was lining up the paper against the left edge of the scanner glass. Nope, the scanner warps the left edge of everything I scan!

This sucks.

My 20 year old Agfa Snapscan that I got in 1999 works better than this, but I had to get rid of that due to the fact that there are no drivers available anymore. The only benefits this Epson scanner would have over the Agfa is that it is compact and uses USB as a power source. Other than that it is much louder (love that screeching sound), just as slow, and obviously the image quality sucks.
