I bought the power head because I needed a pro-level hedge trimmer. That was an expensive buy but worth it. Great tool. I then bought this trimmer and it worked far better than my expectations. It cut through thick weed stalks quite easily. I edged my lawn 4x faster than any trimmer I have ever used. And I have had two different gas models. This is an excellent trimmer.

Bought this without the battery and charger. I didn't need it due to the other EGO stuff I had. All of the batteries are interchangeable. Awesome tool that works. Not having to maintain a gas motor is huge for me. Put the battery in and it works

Quality of the product is very good. Spent way too many hours comparing Ego vs Milwaukee and others. Love the idea of battery power for my small yard. Connecting the edger or trimmer to the power head is not always easy, I typically have to twist it around push the engagement button, and generally wiggle it a bit to get what I think are the spline connections to mesh up between the accessory and the power head. The power head made a whining sound at first, but went away after a few uses. The one thing I had to adapt to was the string trimmer. The string comes out of the head about 1.5" from the bottom. My previous Shindaiwa trimmer had the string exit within 3/4", maybe less. Not big deal, but you need to get used to the idea that you need to tilt it if you want the cut height shorter than 1.5" which my lawn is.
Battery life is excellent. So save weight, I use the 2.5amp battery in the edger/trimer and the 4amp battery in the ego blower. The newer power head with the digital speed is easy to use and switch between. I'm new to the whole idea of battery power, and I'm loving it. Never did like pulling on those ropes to get it started:). The Ego carbon fiber power head and accessory have worked well, quality is good, and the odds are I will purchase more Ego products.

I was hesitant to buy this for fear it wouldn’t have the power I’m use to. I was very surprised to find that it was extremely powerful and does a great job. I wish I had bought this sooner. Highly recommended!

Bought this to replace my gas powered edger/weed trimmer. I like it very much, has a lot of power and the battery lasts a long time. I purchased it with the line trimmer, edger and the articulated hedge trimmer. The hedge trimmer is a little heavy so I would recommend using the lanyard to help out.

I'm 5'6" and was able to adjust the length of the shaft to fit me and keep the trimmer head level to the ground. The trimmer head itself released more string when it runs short. And, when it runs out, just slide in a length of string, and the head auto-winds it. Perfect!
