About this item

【Lightweight and Portable】Donner electric guitars has modified the classic ST-Style guitar to fit the needs of kids. The kids electric guitars weighs only 5.97 LB, reducing the physical burden and making it easier to play.
【Designed for Beginner Kids】Donner mini electric guitars have set the neck length at 35cm and fingerboard width at 4.3cm based on extensive research. The 30 inch electric guitar DSJ-100 is well-suited to most children's body size and hand shape.
【Protect Skin with Exquisite Craftsmanship】The mini electric guitar's ergonomic design protects skin from damage caused by long-term friction against the inner forearm. The matte lacquer surface helps reduce friction allowing children to play all day without discomfort.
【Excellent Tone】Despite the reduced size, this black mini guitar is by no means a toy. With a sound as full as normal-sized electric guitar, the classic single-coil pickup of the S-Style guitar also guarantees it's suitable for most musical styles.
【Play Right out of Box】 Donner electric guitar beginner kits comes fully equipped with picks, cables, a gig bag, a strap, and a professional amp with both distortion and clean channels. Also includes free online lessons.
⚠The mini electric guitar is with a shorter scale if you want to increase string tension and pitch stability, we recommend you tune the Mini electric guitar up to 1 or 2 notes above standard tuning. Turn up 2 pitches(open): EADGBE → AbC#F#BEbA.

I've played guitar for about 4 decades. I wish these were around when I started. My first sears purchased guitar neck broke within a few months of getting it in about 1975. Gone are the days when these Donner strat copies had sharp edged frets or loose strap pegs. At least not on mine. The one I received is comfortable to play. This guitar is well made. I got the Lake Blue version and the fit and finish are flawless. The last letter in each item title indicates the colors of the guitars. L=Lake, B=Black, W=White, etc. I paid less than $105 for mine. I chose the version without the mini amp and tuner because I already had those. The tuning keys are decent. The pickups sound very good. This guitar stays in tune better than my Les Paul! It comes with a good cable, good strap, tool for neck adjustment, tremolo bar, and an excellent gig bag. It was packaged very well. The outer box was practically destroyed by the time I got it. But the contents were all still there and the guitar was shipped inside it's gig bag and a large cardboard box. Removing the plastic coating covering the pick guard was a bit of a hassle but I'd rather have to do that than have it suffer any damage. This lake blue color really is gorgeous. It's a tiny bit lighter shade than the blue background on an American Flag. For a bit more than $100 I could see buying it just to have something this beautiful hanging on a wall. But it's actually a very good playing instrument. Astonishing value for barely more than $100 dollars. Is this guitar as good as guitars that cost ten + times as much? Of course not. But this is the best value for a strat style guitar that money can buy. Many claim this is a beginner guitar. That could be true. But I see no reason why a seasoned veteran guitar player wouldn't want one of these as a road/practice guitar to avoid wear and tear on their high dollar instrument. These are rated high for a reason. I did my research. I searched for several weeks and watched a ton of review videos online before I bought this. I almost went with a firefly guitar. Now I'm glad I bought this one. I don't know how they can make a profit with this quality at this price. I'm considering purchasing another donner product. I just saw the les paul shape and it's getting great reviews also. I might even get a Donner ukulele. Great product, great value.

I'm not really picky about guitars that are a bargain and this one certainly is a great bargain. Just think of how many hundreds or thousands of people were needed to make a guitar like this. The wood, rosewood, basswood and maple had to be harvested, cut and shaped. The metal parts like the bridge, the tuners, the pickups and wiring had to be mined from the earth, refined and processed. The paint had to be made from resins, colored to the right color and shade. Then the painted parts had to be polished by hand to a high gloss finish. The parts were then assembled with skill to make a guitar of really good quality.

The tuners have to be tightened and the fret ends have to be filed a bit because they have somewhat sharp edges. Check on Youtube to see how easily this is corrected. The intonation was almost perfect and the action was set to a medium height. I am not really sure why buyers expect a perfect guitar when even the ones costing hundreds have issues. The completed guitar come from thousands of miles away and are subjected to heat, cold, dry air and humidity in shipping - but most make it into your home okay. Don't even ask about what kind of strings are on it because they are pretty good and a new set only costs about six bucks for a good set. It does have a Stratocaster tone so the pickups are really pretty decent. I just tried it clean with no overdrive so far, but I think this guitar is a real bargain for the price. Don't be wuss! Learn how to setup and care for your own guitar. It's very simple and fun - just be careful, make sure you have learned what you need to know and use a lot of TLC in handling it. If you do, then a guitar like this will last you a lifetime plus. Not sure what this "beginner guitar" stuff means, but it is a ridiculous term - the guitar does what it is supposed to do regardless if is played by a newbie or a pro. It basically all depends on your skill, pedals and amplifier. If they all suck, then you will too -it's not the guitars fault! Thank you Donner! Nice product!

Note: I just wanted to affirm that there are only three spring holes in the tremolo block, but the spring claw has five hooks. I also noticed that there are pre-drilled dimples where the other two springs would mount. So if you have a drill press, you could drill the holes with the proper size drill. Not sure why Donner would do that? Maybe to save on production costs or perhaps limiting the pressure on the body wood to a workable string gage to10's and below to keep the basswood body from breaking out? It's okay as "is" but one wants to take a chance, you can always replace the bridge with a vintage 5 spring Fender bridge.
