    Let me start by saying that the adventure is both technically and thematically well rounded. Some may find the “hunt for the maguffin” as a turn off, but it is woven effectively into the story. The adversaries come across as both effective and potent. I might not see many TPKs, but I do see several opportunities for them (says the evil DM).
    The nostalgia and call outs to other worlds and other famous NPCs is well crafted and not over the top. Having an “earlier” version of Strahd, for example, works very well.
    All in all, a solid entry for high level parties. Considering the current dearth of high level support, this one is much appreciated

    Once again authors from this company prove that they have no world building skills or knowledge of D&D history. "Die! Vecna Die!" and "Vecna Reborn" were excellant adventures which paid good attention to the lore. This one has problems from the very get go.....as this adventure is not really about Vecna...but a hunt for a major artifact that will supposedly thwart what's going on... and having the Dark Powers of Ravenloft do something odd. They retconned some of the history again concerning Vecna, but as he is a god of secrets...we can chuck it up to "plausible disinformation". What starts to fall apart is the allies involved and scenarios that are chosen "just because it is cool and we made a 5E book!". What is worse is the Dragonlance inclusion... as like 5E Ravenloft.... it is not Dragonlance...but 5E Dragonlance. Traditional Dragonlance has a few rules like; no psionics, no orc, no vampires, no lycanthropes, other divine powers are severely hampered, Wizards of High Sorcery and Magic are differently handled. Of course all this is thrown out the window with certain rules being ignored. The other thing is a lot of timey whimey stuff.... as 2EDND/3EDND had established chronologies.... and the time period of Dragonlance does not match what should be on Faerun.
    This was a really big waste of money..... I thought to give it a chance..... but it is a huge regret. A big miss was not included a tie in with Dead By Daylight.... the conclusion could explain why Vecna is once agin trapped by the FOG and the Entity....err I mean the Mists and the Dark Powers.
