If you already have Paperless, which I do, I wouldn't recommend getting this app. They are very similar and are by the same developer. If you are deciding between the two, I would get this one instead. You get to fine tune each tool, set width and opacity which is nice and the design is a slight improvement over Paperless but no where close to how Paper by 53 looks.
There's a few things that would benefit from an update, the main one for me is that the canvas doesn't take up the whole screen on my Fire HD, there's a grey bar around it which is distracting and will hopefully be fixed in an update. Also the inking seems less smooth and more pixelated than Paperless.
Not sure why paperless didn't just get an update rather than a new app being released, but I could perhaps see Paperless lowering in cost and remaining simple, while Ink gets the more advanced tools. Similar to Sketchbook Express and Pro.
Overall I see promise in this app for people who like the simplicity of Paperless but enjoy having some more control. I look forward to future updates. I wish I could give 3.5 stars since its not quite a 4 star app yet, but above average for sure.
