This "IP Cam Viewer" app allows me to remotely monitor my Zmodo DVR camera system on my Kindle Fire and HTC EVO 4G. I tested the free version of the app (

) which supports up to 6 cameras before upgrading to full version. This version supports all eight of my cameras and it can show all of them on screen at the same time or you can choose to view them individually. I like that it can control a PTZ camera, take still and video grabs, and supports "Pinch to Zoom" even on non-PTZ cameras.
Configuration was remarkably easy if you have set up DDNS with a provider (we use DYDNS) and optioned the DVR system for remote access. In my case, the Zmodo system uses port 18004 for remote access and that had to be opened on my router's firewall. The app will also recommend a port if you select the correct camera/DVR maker and model number.
This works very well and was exactly what I was looking for.
