I bought a new gas can with the ridiculous government-mandated spouts out of necessity. The spout was completely unusable — Rigid, jutting out at a 45° angle, with that spill lock that required a third hand to operate. It was simpler to remove the spout and pour gas straight from the wide mouth opening.
So I bought this replacement kit. It comes with a drill bit perfectly sized to install the vent, which I located on the backside of the container’s handle. The spout screws on easily and securely, with no leaks out of the threads. I recommend this spout!

This replacement spout is a perfect fit for my 2-gallon gas tank. After struggling with constant spills using the original spout, this new one has been huge improvement.

The spout is incredibly easy to use, eliminating mess and waste. I use it to fill my RV generator twice a week, and I haven't experienced any issues. It's much more efficient than the standard spouts I've used in the past.

Initially, I was concerned about compatibility, but it fit perfectly. The quality seems durable, and I expect it to last.

Shipping was fast, and the spout kit arrived exactly as described. Overall, I highly recommend this product for anyone looking to upgrade their gas can spout.

The diameter of the flexble spouts is small and they are quite stiff buty the caps fit tight and they work fine.

These spout replacements eliminate the headache that the new gas can spouts create. No more spilling gas trying to pour into a small engine gas reservoir with a piece of crap EPA certified, stiff, short, and awkward spout. Very easy to replace. Comes with everything you need to convert to the better spouts. Fits course and finer thread gas cans. Get some, it will change the way you feel about filling up gas. Highly recommend.

Works like a charm. Replaced over engineered EPA required ridiculous nozzle which laughably (leaking wasn't funny but the idea that these save the environment is) was leaking all over.

There was nothing not to like (as of now all I have done is swapped out old spouts). It is ingenious that they send two different threaded attachments for the cans. I had four cans and two different thread patterns. No issues since they send both. I was a little anxious reading the 1 star ratings about the nozzle caps not fitting. I had no issues with those either. They also send two different kinds of vent caps: one threaded and one to pop into place (& a drill bit to make a way to pop them into place). I say that to say, I wonder if the 1 star ratings that had trouble with the nozzle caps were trying to use the vent caps . . . Just sayin. It took less than 15 minutes to change out all four of my cans (& snap some pictures). So had an opportunity to use this weekend. MAKE SURE you take advantage of the flexible nozzle and get it in your tank because once the vent cap is open, the flow is FAST out of the can. Yes I spilled, but no leaks from the nozzle. This is still a 5 outta 5 purchase.

I have 5 Obama era gas cans that need spouts that actually work. The original EPA-approved ones, with the strong spring in the spout that you are supposed to overcome by pushing down on the neck of the tank, lead to gas spillage all over the place. Someone must have been out of their minds not to consider the weight of the can and content as opposed to the strong spring force that must be overcome. These simpler style spouts I purchased looked like the ideal solution. Unfortunately, the spout retaining cap bottomed out on the can before the spout sealed. I could have cut part of the cap away I suppose, but decided to return the product and find another solution. These caps may work great for someone else, so 3 stars seems fair.

Only had one container that is fit. The threads are too deep. The fit on most gas containers, so can I get a seal? But I love the quality of the seals, they're a lot thicker, so you get more than 2 uses out of them, unlike Walmart. You gotta find more containers that these things will fit.
