Small but powerful - can even pump my truck tires

I should say that I'm very impressed with this little inflator. At first, I was very skeptical of what it can really do. I already have a compressor in my garage that I mostly use to inflate car tires and everything else around the house. This works just fine. However, my wife does not like using it for smaller items, e.g. footballs for kids or bicycle tires since it is a bit cumbersome to use. Hence, I was looking for something small and easy to use, like this inflator. I also wanted it to be rechargeable but with an option to be powered from a car lighter. The reason for the latter is that I also would like to have it in my car for longer trips, just in case I need to inflate my car tires a bit and for all the other smaller things wherever my trusty garage compressor is out of reach. This one had all these features and according to the description it was an updated version. So I decided to give it a try without expecting much. Once the tool arrived, I inspected it and found it easy to use. It can be charged just from the USB-C port. There is a cable included for that as well. There is also a standard USB port that can be used to charge something small from it, e.g. a cellphone. So it can also be used as a power bank, which is very nice. Another cable is included that plugs into the car lighter so you can power the inflator that way as well. Included are also the standard inflator connector for the Schrader valve (cars and bicycles) and a few typical tips for inflating smaller things like footballs, etc. There is no tip for the Presta bicycle valve but there are plenty of adapters around that are cheap, so that is not a problem. On the front panel, there is an indicator and a few control buttons. The indicator displays the charge level, the current pressure, and the set pressure you need to achieve after inflation. You can also select from a few inflation modes like auto, bicycle, manual, etc. Once you select your mode and set the desired pressure, you can push the button and inflation begins. Just to see how good this thing is, I put it to some really tough test. I deflated one of the tires in my truck to 30 psi and set the pressure to 38 psi. These are 20 inch tires so I was not sure it would even be able to inflate it. To make things even tougher, I tried inflating this tire entirely from the inflator battery (no connection to the car lighter). I recorded the entire process on video and measured it took around 4 minutes and 15 seconds, but it did manage to inflate it! I uploaded the video but cut it short or it would've been way too long. I then measured the tire pressure with my simple mechanical gauge, just to double check. It showed 40 psi, which is close enough to what the inflator indicated. This was very impressive. Sure, it drained the battery almost completely but it is a lot of air to pump for such a small unit. It didn't even heat up that much. Another thing I should mention is that the valve connector on this inflator fits over the valve tightly and does not leak. Year and years ago I had a portable tire inflator that didn't have a built in battery and could only run off the car lighter. I believe it was slower than this one, more loud, and would always try to "walk" around while inflating. This one didn't even move at all and was not very loud. After this test, I know it should do more than well inflating smaller things, bicycle tires, etc. and I can always count on it to inflate even car tires if needed. I would have to use the car lighter cable though, but that should not be a problem. So far, I'm very happy with this inflator and can't see anything to complain about. I guess the only one suggestion I would make would be adding a car emergency light to it so it can be used for that too. There is a small LED on the side of the inflator but that one is just like a small flashlight in case you have to work when it is dark. It is very useful too, by the way and I like it.

Portable and easy to use compressor

Considering the low price point, this pump is a good deal. It has some useful features, but it is lacking in some regards. Here is the good and bad after using it a few times:
Pros:
• The pump is small and easy to store somewhere out of the way in a vehicle.
• It weighs under 3 pounds, combined with the small size, easy to transport.
• The display is bright and remains legible in bright outdoor conditions.
• Operation is intuitive. It arrived with instructions, but once they are inevitably lost, they will never be
missed.
• The different modes/presets for car, motorcycle, bike, ball and manual are helpful as they quickly set
the pressure near the correct value.
• It automatically shuts off after it hits the set pressure.
• The internal battery provides enough power to quickly top off all of your tire’s pressure.
• The car power adapter has a long cord, should be possible to reach tires if the battery is dead.
Cons:
• The brand name VXSCAN is not pronounceable.
• The air hose is short, which keeps it compact for storage, but if your tire valve is not near the ground,
it will be necessary to hold the pump the entire time it is operating.
• It is not very quick. My vehicle is a small SUV, to increase the tire pressure from 20 to 36 psi took the
pump over 6 minute and used up half the battery.

Overall the pump works well considering its size and cost. It is nice to have a pump in the vehicle at all times, it will be needed periodically. Also, gas is expensive, having the means to easily keep tire pressure within the right range is one way to save money.

This is a very nice compact unit the versatility is a very nice touch and well thought out. Knowing while you travel you never know when you might need air in a tire and this little unit not only provides air, but it also house a powerful flashlight (pic.#4) in addition it will also charge your cell phone too. VXSCAN Tire Inflator will do all of this without hooking up to 12v battery because it has a separate charging port that houses its interior battery to make the whole unit battery operated. The unit comes fully complete included a valve to blow up beach balls! Also includes a soft cloth storage bag (pic.#2). This pumps quickly and unlike some supports lower psi inflation like basketballs.

The 12v connection doesn’t charge the battery, only the usb c connector. But if the internal battery is dead the 12v connection will let the pump run.

Overall a good pump, easy to use.
