5.0 out of 5 stars My Favorite Ultra Thin Pick
Reviewed in the United States on March 28, 2024
I love these picks. These are a bit thinner than a standard thin pick. They bring out a really nice clarity and sound great on twelve string guitars as well as six. They have a nice flex to them as well. A great pick for strumming and bringing out the higher end of a guitar.

5.0 out of 5 stars I've always hated picks...
Reviewed in the United States on November 8, 2020
I've been playing guitar since 1964, mostly not very well. Self-taught. And I'm a "strummer," strictly a rhythm guy. I learned on an old classic with nylon strings (new from Montgomery Wards!), and just always used my fingers. Sadly, I've never been coordinated enough to actually finger pick, but I have a good sense of rhythm, so I can add some interest with counter strumming and beats, and attacking this or that part of the strings based on whatever chord I'm futzing with. Bottom line, every time I tried using an ordinary guitar pick, I absolutely HATED it. It was like trying to play with some ... variation in intensity ... with a small log.

And then a couple of years ago, I grabbed a couple of softer picks out of a bowl while I was buying some strings, and... I loved them! A had about six, and was on my last one when I ordered these, and was so glad to see them available. What do I like about them? Well, they are FLEXIBLE, so you can sort of alter how you use it to get a softer or more intense sound (Seagull 6-string). I just hold it closer to the tip to reduce the flex. They are very easy on the strings, and if you use light strings, they tend to rattle a whole lot less with this pick, IMO.

The bad news is that if you use them to hammer out a song, the tips tend to break off after some use. If you do that a lot, step up to the next thickness, and just use this pick for ballads. Also, they will have a slight flapping sound when used for softer passages. I don't care about that when I'm practicing for myself, but, again, you can just hold this pick a little differently, and make it just a bit stiffer. That fixes it.

I also use the F-brand thinnest pick, and it's great choice for those rock-a-billy sessions! No chipping and no flapping, but somewhat harder on the strings.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Thin Pick

This was my first guitar pick and it works great. I've played with it for over 8hrs and the first one in the pack is still going strong so durability seems good.

4.0 out of 5 stars Super super light so is weak on heavy strings

It’s a great pick! If you have heavy strong strings. It’ll strum but it’s much weaker. So know what you’re getting.

5.0 out of 5 stars I do not like a heavy pick

I like very light picks for that speed strum, heavy picks fly out of my fingers. These are great...

3.0 out of 5 stars Too flimsy.

These picks are too flimsy for strumming. It feels like you're playing guitar with a wet noodle.
