This yarn is thin and mini, but perfect for tiny projects. It is very evident if you switch between "medium 4 weight" yarn and these yarns. If using them in tandem to make smaller items (like granny squares or amigurumi) these are perfect. I used a very small hook (D 2mm) on the project pictured. Anything larger would have likely showed gaps.

Having said that, this is exactly what I expected when I got it. I just wanted to warn others so their expectations were correct!

I got this when I was just learning to crochet, and it's a perfect assortment of colors. I didn't want to get full skeins of a ton of different colors (yarn is expensive!) so this set was a great way for me to still have lots of color options.

For context, I have been crocheting for a little over a year now, mostly making amigurumi and some clothing tops. I typically use Caron's Simply Soft and Lily's Sugar'n Cream yarn. I got this pack because I wanted to make a bunch of little fruit amigurumi without having to purchase full-sized skeins of colors I likely wouldn't use for anything else. The quality is definitely lower than any full-sized skeins I've gotten at the store, but they work just as well. I think this a great, affordable way to get started with fabric arts so you can have a variety of colors to work with. I would also recommend it for purposes like mine if you aren't too worried about quality. If I ran out of these and wanted to make more uniquely colored projects, I would most likely buy these again.

I bought these to take on a trip to show done people how to work with plastic canvas. This variety gives them many choices, but they are small enough so they don’t take up much space.
