UPDATE: I downgraded my rating from 5 to 3 because the plastic clips that hold the top and bottom of the flag to the flagpole are faulty. As the flag started slipping on the pole I tightened the bracket, and the plastic screw was easily stripped and could not be secured.

This 6 ft flagpole is very easy to assemble and is strong and durable. It's four sections (1.5 ft) fit snug and tight. We like the appearance of the pole and our choice of color was black.
The pole fits best with a 3' x 5' flag but was a bit short for our 4' x 6' flag. To remedy this, I ordered a second pole on sale and used an additional 1.5 extension for a better fit. Works like a charm, and we have spares if ever needed.
I recommend this pole.

Update: I was determined to make this tangle-free and found a way, which I will share. The problem is the white plastic bolt, as the flag can catch on it and prevent the ring from spinning. Remove the topper and white plastic bolts, and separate the flag rings into 3 pieces each. Mark the bottom edge of the pole topper on the pole with a permanent marker or tape. Begin with a #12 bolt that is 1” or longer. Using a hacksaw, cut it to ½” long. On either the top or bottom edge, cut a notch for a flat-head screwdriver (see photo). As an alternative, you can use a #12 set screw that is ½” long. To assemble, put on the ring that held the bolt about 1” below where the bottom of the topper will rest. Insert your new bolt and tighten it with a flat head screwdriver so that the bolt does not show above the white part (see photo). " Then put on the thin ring with the metal flag clip and replace the topper. Make sure this ring can spin freely. Slide your flag onto the pole and attach the flag’s slotted tab to the top flag clip. On the bottom, if there is a second slotted tab, insert the second thin ring, and attach the flag to it. Hang your flag. You should have 3 parts left over. Save the other bolt part in case the top one should break in the future. Dispose of the other two parts and the white plastic bolts.
