I am very dissappointed that I must manually enter the URL for an RSS subscription link every time that I want to download from a source not pre-populated on the app. There seems to be no option to add that source or save the link.
Also, it would be nice to be able to remove pre-populated sources for all the content that I would never use.

I love listening to podcasts on my iPod, but I was looking for a decent podcast client for my Kindle Fire. This one fits the bill. It contained almost all of the podcasts I regularly listen to. I tried moving some of the podcasts I downloaded in iTunes to the Podcast HD folder, but it did not recognize the files. So if you have podcasts that are relatively popular that you listen to, this will work perfectly. If you downloaded some from an abstract source, I have yet to figure out how to make them play. All in all, I was extremely pleased with the app.

Podcast HD has a huge selection of podcasts. My suggestions for improvement are: 1. Make it easy to determine which files have been downloaded or listened to. 2. Include a users guide. 3. Make it possible to sort bookmarks.
4. Make it more appealing visually. 5. Make it possible to update all bookmarks at one time. 6. A way to adjust volume. 7. Make it possible to manually enter feed URL.
All of the above are features of other podcast managers that I have used.
Having said all that, the app does work very well. It just needs to be tweaked a little.

I recently purchased this app, looking for something simpler to listen to podcasts, and was also looking for an app that would play a podcast entitled "Jack Benny-OTR Podcast". When Google Reader went away the Jack Benny Podcast would no longer play on the other podcaster I have called BeyondPod. I have decided that Podcast HD is much better because I need not over-engineer it to listen, stream, download, or search for podcasts. BeyondPod on the other hand, although a good podcaster, has too many bells and whistles, and too much stuff to manage in the settings menu. Podcast HD, on the other hand only has four basic things to manage your podcasts--categories, bookmarks, downloads, and search. I would only ask for one improvement. It needs a feature to read the description page with each podcast which BeyondPod does have. But I have figured out a temporary fix. I also add the podcasts to my Feedly news reader and can read the accompanying page there. I like Podcast HD so well that I have deleted BeyondPod from my Kindle Fire HD and use Podcast HD exclusively. But I did keep BeyondPod in my Amazon Cloud in case I need to retrieve it.

This app is great for downloading nearly any podcast. I did have a problem with the 'casts not fully downloading, but most of them were fine. I would also like to be able to search for a particular podcast or creator so I don't have to spend lots of time scrolling through the choices and risking missing what I'm looking for. Overall a great app. 5/5
