Bought this refurbished as it was my first cordless impact driver and wanted to get my feet wet with it.
Absolutely Worth it !! It removed a wheel nut from the S13 front hub like super easy. Been using it from time to time over the past couple weeks and the 2.0 Ah battery still has juice.
I'd recommend for medium to light duty. It may take a wheel lug off, but i did not try it.

I held off for years on buying a brushless impact screwdriver because I thought they were too expensive. I finally relented and bought a refurbished one. Can't tell the difference between it and a new one. I can't believe what I've been missing. This drill driver works like a charm, the battery lasts and lasts (doesn't come with one but I have several 20VMAX for my other Dewalt tools) and wow, does it drive screws! It's an absolute necessity if you are using screws in a lot of your work. When you hear the phrase "I gotta get one of those", this is one tool that fits the bill.

I do woodwork, rarely used screws but when I have to driving them into hardwood can be a chore. This does a good job of driving even long screws (3-1/2") into maple. Settings 2 and 3 are the impact settings, 1 is a straight drill, and that doesn't do a good job. Without the impact settings this driver doesn't have the oomph to drive screws.

Just as an FYI (had to try it) it's not strong enough to remove the wheel lugs from a vehicle. Would have been nice to eliminate my compressor-driven impact wrench. Ah well, nothings perfect.

This kicks butt over my older 14.4v DeWalt, and that thing (though it made as much noise as a 1/2" rattle gun) made the younger guys with their pretty, brand new M...lets not say brand names let's say teal/black impact drivers walk away with their heads down. Now I have this new one with 3 gears, lights, and speed control trigger (just like stepping on the gas pedal). Its worth buying just for those things but then you add in that it is light weight enough that my carpenter's elbow (so much pain that I had to wait for it to calm down after work so I could drive) is much more mild (also thank you DeWalt for making that 14oz framers hammer) and I use the 5AH batteries which can last several days at average use. I would say buy this skip the small batteries that come in the kit, pick up a matching hammer drill and you will grin from ear to ear. (I would say similar things about the Milwaukee ones as well)

This tool looked brand new when I received it. I like the belt clip. Have driven around 1,000 2-1/2" screws into treated lumber, and used a 1/2" spade bit to drill some holes through 4x4s. Works great! The fact it has 3 speeds is critical to me, as the fastest setting was WAY too fast for driving in my deck board screws. Far too easy to over drive them.
