I love Red heart yarn. If you think it is too scratchy then rinse the finished garment as delicate and make sure you use fabric softener in the rinse cycle and dry is the drier under delicate and it will so fluffy. I have used Red heart since my grandmother taught me to crochet. More than a 100 blankets finished. I have found nothing better for the value.

Dye lots don’t match!

Despite what they say, this yarn DOES require matching dye lot numbers or you will end up with an unacceptable match when adding a new skein. That said, the yarn itself is fine; good quality and easy to work with.. just ruined an afghan I had spent a lot of time on because it was obvious that the yarn shades are different… grrrr
