In my year of self-love, self-discovery, and exploring new hobbies, I decided to pick up crochet again after only knowing how to chain as a child. "The Woobles Beginners Crochet Kit with Easy Peasy Yarn, as seen on Shark Tank", turned out to be the perfect starting point.

Pros:
Step-by-Step Instructions: The kit includes detailed video instructions that made learning the basics easy and enjoyable.
Comprehensive Learning: Since buying this kit, I have learned the fundamentals and have been building various pieces such as blankets, hats, clothes, plushies, and more.
Good Quality Yarn: The yarn included is of high quality, making the crochet experience even better.
Bonus Hook: The kit came with a free 4mm crochet hook, which was a delightful surprise.
Cute Plushies: These are great little plushies for young kids and fur babies. My daughter loves them, and the instructions teach you how to make them safe.

Cons:
Addictive: I'm addicted to crocheting now!

Personal Experience:
The Woobles kit was incredibly cute and inviting, which encouraged me to dive into the world of crochet. The video instructions were clear and easy to follow, making the learning process smooth and enjoyable. This kit has been instrumental in my crochet journey, and I owe my newfound skills and projects to it. I am so good at crocheting now that I am able to start a business!

Conclusion:
Overall, The Woobles Beginners Crochet Kit is an excellent choice for anyone looking to start or rediscover crochet. It has provided me with the foundation I needed to create beautiful pieces and has made my self-love and self-discovery journey even more fulfilling.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for beginners and those who can't read a pattern
Reviewed in the United States on March 19, 2023
I learned to crochet in October 2022. I learned the single stitch and started to create a basket and then a scarf. I had not done amigurumi's yet and also did not know how to read a pattern. This kit is great for beginners because Justine is amazing with her tutorials and she will literally go step by step with a tutorial to teach you how to do the stitches and how to read a pattern. I know people that can crochet but don't know how to read a pattern. I have recommended the woobles to them and even as experienced crocheters, they bought the kits and found them fun and really helpful. I bought this one first on Amazon and I've purchased the rest on the actual woobles website. They do have coupons from time to time, they also have limited edition kits which you can sign up for their text alerts to be notified of pre-sales. I have purchased at least five more kits since purchasing this one. This was the first one I did and this is the most basic one that the woobles has so it will teach you everything step by step. When you get to beginner plus, it may not give you everything step by step but you can still look up the videos on the Woobles website for a refresher.

So what are you paying for with this price? You were paying for pretty much a teacher. You are paying for yarn that will not easily split or fray which is really helpful for beginners or just people frustrated with splitting or fraying yarn. Most kits come with a crochet hook. You can also purchase them on their website without a hook sometimes. You're paying for the entire package which includes a lesson on how to create the cute little character that you have purchased, the means to make the character and the confidence that you will now have after learning to create this cute little creature. Is it a bit on the expensive side? Yes at first glance, but when you think about how much you get out of it, the price fits the package.

If you have been thinking about buying the woobles products, I highly recommend them. Any of them! They are so fun and you feel really good after creating one of these little creatures that maybe you thought you couldn't do before. And you have access to that pattern and the videos on the website forever. You can also use the patterns after you learn, to use different yarn and maybe make a bigger character. You use the same pattern, you just use a bigger yarn so while you may not have enough yarn to make two little friends, you could either buy more yarn on Amazon or buy a different yarn that you like and make more!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great beginner project - you’ll learn a lot!

This is a great beginner kit for crochet. I had no experience with crochet and ended up with a cute gift for a friend’s birthday! It definitely was a challenge but just enough to keep going. Here was my experience that I wish someone had shared with me to make sure I wasn’t completely off:
1) Started with the pre-started magic circle. Super confused with the stitches initially, as you jump immediately into the “increase stitch” which is two single crochet stitches on the same “v” hole. The video walks you through the first couple rounds and it’s intimidating to go by yourself. Felt like I was in over my head! I made a couple mistakes and ended up “frogging” - removing all the stitches I made a few times.
TIP: Don’t be afraid to restart - the starter piece does not unravel! You just have to look out for the “v” since the stitch marker is removed. I also completed Pierre over a few days (2+ hours a day, total 8+ hours?) and felt my muscle memory improved!
2) Counting stitches is really confusing initially. Definitely write it down as the videos advise!
TIP: Don’t forget to put your stitch marker in each round! When I got faster, I forgot and had to undo a bit to count everything again.
3) Right before you stuff the body and start the decrease stitches, it will look kinda big. This is normal. Stitching the piece closed with the tapestry needle was less intimidating than I thought it would be.
4) The white tummy was initially frustrating, there was always a hole no matter how tight I did the “easier” method. I clicked “help” and ended up doing the magic circle which was less difficult than I thought because of the step by step.
TIP: For the magic circle, make the slip knot, chain stitch, and crochet stitches bigger than your regular stitches as they will become smaller when you pull it to make a circle! (I got really frustrated initially as I couldn’t put my hook through, and loosening the stitches helped)
5) Sewing the tummy to the body - redid this a few times to make sure it was really centralized between the eyes, and at the right height!
6) Beak - another magic circle! With experience under my belt, I took my time to try to do this from memory, made a lot of mistakes, and really absorbed the concept. Remember to turn the piece inside out.
7) Wings - a little complicated as it incorporates chain stitches, turns, and slightly more 3D.
TIP: When you start to sew the wing flat at stitches 1&2, put a stitch marker across stitches 7&8 as it will become harder to see them. Make sure you follow the instructions on attaching the piece correctly each time. If you’re a stickler, make the wing pieces first before sewing on - mine ended up slightly different sizes but it adds to the charm (and I was so happy to be done!)
8) HOOKED! Ended up giving the piece to a friend and tried to make a second Pierre. Didn’t have enough yarn by round 10 so I had to give it up and make a tiny one! Thinking about getting Wooble. Bought regular yarn and ohhhh easy peasy yarn is SO much easier to work with.

Thanks Woobles for introducing me to this hobby! Experienced crocheters may consider this pricey but for a total beginner like me this was a great kit to not have to think about getting all the yarn colors, correctly sized hook, yarn, and eye pieces! Looking at other free tutorials and patterns as my next step, none of them are as straightforward. Big kudos to Woobles!
