5.0 out of 5 stars I Still Use MGI PhotoSuite4 Exclusively - Professionally

Why Roxio (who bought-out MGI) doesn't continue to make this excellent photo program - is a mystery to me. The new Roxio version of PhotoSuite is not the same program. I don't look forward to the day my MGI PhotoSuite4 will no longer be compatible with some future version of Windows. If you just want an easy-to-use, high quality photo-enhancing program without all the professional apps of PhotoShop (and at a fraction of the price) - this is the best program on the market. I have used it professionally since 2002, working with photos that exhibit at major museums and in the media. If it'll do the job for me - it'll do the job for you.

i love photosuite for working on pictures. Previously it didnt work with windows 7 and i was surprised to see that it now was available. Well it works, but there are some glitches. The vertical menu (that allows for functions such as Zooming and erasing changes is not there. Each time i open it, it asks me to register but then will not accept the registration - not a really big deal but a pain.

I wrote things you can do with this under the III'd edition here on Amazon. You can do almost anything you want to with a photograph. I've never found anything I cannot do. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed with this program. I have used 4 other photo printing and adjustment programs, this one does the most in easiest way possible. Buy it. You will be happy you did! Read my revue on #3 issue. I'll not repeat it here.

I've had an old version of this program that came with my first computer (Windows 95.) It quit working and wouldn't reload, just scratched up I guess. I ordered this one and couldn't get it to install on three different machines: 2,XP and 1, 7. I was really sorry it wouldn't load, as the original is a great program. This one includes photo vista. I don't know what that is, I couldn't get it to run. I finally had enough friends dig around for me, that I came up with the old one again. It runs great, but I gave up on this one. I'd check around computer shops for one of the old versions (also called Photosuite 4)

2.0 out of 5 stars Let Down of a Once GREAT program!

If you are using Windows 7 64bit....dont even think about buying this version because it will not load. I searched the internet for fixes in order to be able to install and use with no luck. I used MGI Photosuite for years and loved it. I wish it would work!

4.0 out of 5 stars Old, but not completely obsolete...

I first received this program way back as a freebie back in 2000, when I bought my first computer from Best Buy (SONY VAIO). I know it's completely dated and there are so many that are light years ahead of this (including newer versions by MGI), but I've taught myself all of the ins-and-outs and know its limitations.

In any case, I keep a copy of it and it's always my fallback since I just don't want to (or have time to) relearn an entirely new photoshop program. So guess what? It worked with Windows XP, Windows 7 and now with Windows 10; I do say this with some hesitation. On Windows 7 and 10 it's not completely stable and so it's a good idea to back-up your work periodically, but it does work.

I lost my original copy, so found another one for .98 (+ 3.99 shipping) and recently installed it, although it took some effort for the program to 'take'. I'm happy, but know I'm on borrowed time with this program and hope they'll make something comparable and as easy to use.

5.0 out of 5 stars This program has a cloning feature that I find to be very useful for editing backgrounds

My first MGI PhotoSuite II (2) software came packaged with an old Microtek scanner I purchased 15 to 20 years ago. This program has a cloning feature that I find to be very useful for editing backgrounds. Yes I do have Photoshop, but there are times when you I don't need a monster to thread a needle.

MGI PhotoSuite 4 retains most of the features I liked in version II, plus many more that I like to use, and it's very simple to use witout using a manual

MGI Photo Suite 4 is an excellent basic photo editing program ,without geting into the depths of a Adobe PhotoShop editing experience. This software is highly recommended for simple basic everyday photo touch up and croping and such. Very inexpensive from the wonderful seller I purchased from. I'd buy again!

(I should add,my spouse is a commercial digital artist,so I has access to the most elaborate software one can imagine, but ,no thanks,I'll use this most of the time for my cropping, sharpening and blemish removal, thank you.
