Works surprisingly well

To start, this is a counter top device, so set your expectations accordingly. My wife bought it, and I did not research it before buying or had not used one before, so did not know what to expect. Since the ice bin compartment is not chilled like a freezer, I did not expect the ice to stay frozen for too long. So, here's the good news. It makes ice really fast, like within 10 minutes, but the first batch is always thin. But after that, it makes very acceptable bullet shaped ice in a batch of 9 or so. One night we forgot to turn the unit off, and to my surprise, the bin was full of ice. No telling how many batches may have melted through the night, but there was plenty of ice to use in the morning. Not too crazy about the daily cleaning requirement. Overall, very happy with it.

I bought this because the ice maker on the new LG fridge we bought is anemic (about 12 cubes in 4 hours). This ice maker spits the ice out quickly. I make a batch every other day and put it in a gallon ziplock, which I then use to fill the fridge ice dispenser of the fridge.

The first set of cubes are small, but after that, they are the large size I have it set for. This is likely because the machine needs to warm up (or rather cool down) when first started. I like the fact that the black top cover opens up giving access to the back part of the machine where the freezing fingers are, making it easier to clean.

UPDATE:
When draining and cleaning the device, the FIRST thing you should do after draining is put the drain plug back in the bottom or your counters could get wet. Don't ask me how i know X2 :)

Makes ice fairly quickly

This ice maker works well but it may not last long. I already had the exact same one branded with a different name. It lasted 13 months until one day when I was doing a thorough cleaning and suddenly it quit. The refrigeraration part still works but it stopped pumping water to the evaporator. I have an idea that a micro switch failed because of a video I found on u tube. I will attempt to repair it at some point. At this price point you probably can't expect high quality parts in it. But I do like it when it is working.

I bought this because my refrigerator ice machine is slow. This produces nine cubes every ten minutes. You can select the size (recommend large). The only thing I noticed is if they sit a day I'm the unit they kind of clump together as they start melting. You need to empty the water every few days, rinse it out, and refill. Otherwise you might notice the drinks starting to taste a bit off. I just carry it to the sink, dump it out, and spray it inside with the sink hose. Works great and keeps it fresh.

Much Better - Worth the Money

I purchased this ice maker to replace a 3-year old similar counter-top ice model that recently gave up. Although it's slightly larger and cost a few dollars more, it's very much worth it! Much better design than most, with a much sturdier ice basket, and the top section opens to facilitate cleaning - very happy so far!

Ice Production with a Few Drawbacks

I recently purchased this countertop ice maker, and it's a mixed bag of pros and cons. On the positive side, the ice it produces is fantastic—small, bullet-shaped, and perfect for chilling my beverages. The rapid ice-making capability is impressive and keeps up with my demands.
However, it's worth noting that this machine is a bit on the noisy side. Additionally, it's larger than I initially anticipated, taking up a considerable amount of countertop space.
Despite the drawbacks, the excellent quality of the ice it produces outweighs the inconveniences for me. If you have the space and don't mind a bit of noise, this countertop ice maker might be the perfect addition to your kitchen.

I lived without an icemaker for 5.5 years after the built in feeezer model died and couldn't be fixed. I didn't buy a small ice appliance because all the horrendous reviews: I thought it would be a waste of money. But this year, I decided I deserved ice. And I'm glad I did! I waited to review this icemaker until I had used it for a few months, and it has worked well. I have no illusions that any of these machines will have any longevity, and I have resigned myself to having to buy a new small icemaker every year. but so far so good. An alarm when it's full of ice or out of water would be nice, but it's functional without those features. I use filtered water. I do not run it constantly as many people do with this type of icemaker (I don't want to listen to the clunking); I put the ice cubes in zipper bags in the freezer to make them harder. The taste is fine. Maybe some day I'll splurge on a compressor model, but for now I'm happy to have ice even though I may have to buy a new one in a few more months.

Yes, as a countertop, this ice maker does very well. Makes ice super fast. The water reservoir holds quite a bit more water than other ice makers. Surprising. I spend far less time baby sitting this ice maker than any other (two others either broke, or just constantly ran). And it lasts much longer after becoming full... again after having 2 other ice makers to compare it too.

And so easy to operate too.

Can't go wrong with this ice maker. It is simply great, for what it is intended for which is a counter top.
