Our Deluxe Bachelor Hood is made of high quality matte polyester with excellent velvet and satin fabric. The velvet color stands for the the field of study in which the Bachelor's degree was earned, and the color of satin lining and chevron is the school colors. The hoods for graduation college colors follow an Academic Costume Code of Intercollegiate Bureau of Academic Costume, and it is accepted by the American Council on Education. It is largely standardized in United States. It sets rules in the color usage among hoods for college graduation. Some of the colors used in hoods are:

brown for Architecture and Fine Arts;
orange for Engineering;
maize for Agriculture because this color signifies a plentiful harvest;
dark blue for Philosophy, sage for Physical Education;
drab for Business, Accountancy, and Commerce;
Crimson for Journalism;

I bought this for repeated use in academic ceremonies, in which I must appear in full regalia. This is not as bulky and inflexible as the rentals. The cord in the front attaches easily to a shirt button under your robe. This hood doesn't feel so much like a backpack.

It is a nice quality graduation hood for the price. However, the loop that hooked to the button broke a few days after I opened it. Once I sewed it back on, it worked great and I had no further issues.

I bought this from the seller as a means of trying to cut costs on a already expensive mile stone and I’m glad to say that I am happy with my purchase it fit just like it said it would. The only downside I had in regards to the product was that it was made out of velvet (gold part of the velvet ) and not Polyester like the blue and white part. But overall I’m please with the purchase
