The pvc end fits directly into the elbow at the end of the drain pipe. A standard shop vac hose fits into the larger end. Turn the vac and you can see thru the clear pipe section all the water and goop being sucked out. Saves an expensive plumber visit, and it is super easy to do. I know nothing about AC units, and I was able to successfully clean the drain. 100% recommended!!

Just got it yesterday and used today; maybe a little pricey for what you get and you can probably do it without it but, easy to attach to vacuum (multiple diameters for the hose) and attaches/fit to HVAC line easily. Ran it for 10 minutes or so

In my pursuit of efficient solutions for home projects, I acquired the Diyvac as a backup to my homemade PVC pipe contraption for draining my AC line. What distinguishes this kit is its transparent tubing, allowing for precise monitoring of sludge flow—a feature I found particularly appealing.

The seamless fit with my shop vac was another advantage. I appreciated that no modifications were required to adapt it to my AC line, simplifying the installation process.

Given its reliability and performance, I am considering acquiring another unit as a precautionary measure. It's worth noting that the kit's green color nearly caused it to blend in with my lawn, resulting in a momentary scare of misplacement—an anecdote that underscores the importance of vigilance when handling such utilitarian items.

 This is a great attachment for a wet vac that enables you to clean out your HVAC drain line. I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 because although It fit snugly on the PVC pipe drain, I had to wrap the connection with duct tape to get a tight seal. Once it was sealed tightly, it worked well.

I live in Florida, so my AC gets used a lot. We have a professional come out and service our AC twice a year. In between those visits, he encourages me to clear it out myself using a shop vac and this attachment. The stuff I pull out of my condense line is scary, but not as scary as what would happen if my line clogged for any period of time. It's an easy process, and all homeowners should keep one of these handy to prevent clogs or save money from expensive HVAC emergencies.

Fits shop vac on one end and other end into a 3/4” PVC elbow. If you have just 3/4” pipe as the end piece you will need an adapter or ell to attach to this item.
Works well as you can see fluid through clear tubing.
Will adapt to any size connection tubing on Shop Vac type of vacuum
I would recommend this especially for Hot climates that are running AC long periods of time.

The clear section of the DIYVac attachment is the game changer. It allows you to see the debris being removed from the AC condensate line and when the line or water is clear. The attachment is a little on the expensive side for something that is all plastic, but the attachment delivers! It has 3 different sized shop vac hose sizes and as long as your AC condensate line is 3/4 inch PVC you are golden, it is worth the extra expense especially considering you what you spent on the shop vac to ensure it has a closed connection for the vacuum to work properly.
