The built in effects/cabinet simulators make a world of difference. I'm not a professional by any means but was able to figure out basic functions by using the manual; the end results sound as if i am a professional!! Zoom is the real deal

When our drummer moved away we used the drum tracks from previous rehearsals for current rehearsals until we found another drummer. But it actually worked really good.
Only complaint is the 1/4"/XLR compined inputs and they ar hand to plug and unplug. But I solved that by running all inputs from DI boxes and ART vocal preamps, and left all the inputs plugged in.
I use the 32 gig SD card and put in on my PC to make backups which works great .
Over all I give it a mighty 4 bright stars as nothing is perfect, but for the money , quality and features the R16 almost is.
