I'm always amazed at how items are packaged. When I received the lamp, it appeared to be missing the lampshade, based on the smaller, flat box. The shade was "rolled" and wrapped separately inside! Was simple to assemble the lamp itself and there are 2 metal rings, where the shade is attached, via a small "snap" that the rings fit into. The light is adjustable - just a twist of the knob makes it dim to bright in seconds. It looks very nice in my living room, next to the chair where I spend most of my time. The best part of it is that it's turned on and off via the knob on the lamp vs. one operated by foot on the floor. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat should I need another floor lamp!

I am pleased with this lamp, which I purchased for $39.00 plus tax.
It was easy to assemble-always a stumbling block for me-and fully assembled it is nice and compact. The switch has a dimmer function, which is very convenient, and you can adjust the shade/light bulb to different angles if you wish (although I prefer not to).
Good for a reading lamp, or for a nighttime lamp to leave on in a living area.
A great value for the price I paid for it!

I purchased this floor lamp to use next to my Lazy Boy while reading in the evenings. I’m very pleased with it, despite some of the negative reviews I read.
It was easy to assemble, the shade looks nice (just as if you’d purchased it at a box store), the dimmer switch operates smoothly and the light shines perfectly.
Some reviews said the lamp pole was tilted and didn’t stand straight. I feel sure this is the result of not aligning the threads when putting it together. Mine is fine.
The other complaint I read was concerning the sturdiness standing on the floor. It is a bit wobbly, only if you bump up against it, but this lamp is no different from others I’ve purchased at a much higher cost. Sturdiness is dependent on the weight of the base. I can’t imagine that any floor lamp would come with a much heavier base than this one.
I’m very satisfied with my purchase.

The first one I ordered came damaged beyond repair. Replacement was good. Lamp looks really nice. Super easy to put together. Only issue is when put together and tightened in place the base doesn’t lineup well with the rest of the lamp so it looks weird at the bottom. That doesn’t bother me though because the base is hidden where I wanted to put the lamp (behind a couch against a wall). The issue could probably easily be fixed with a small black washer.
