I have used several things to work on my Spanish and Paul Noble's approach is amazing! It is similar to Pimsleur in that it's you hear it and then you repeat it but what I love about Paul is that he offers tips/tricks that helps the information stick. Plus the PDF that goes along with it is also very helpful. Overall I highly recommend this book! If you're trying to really work on your Spanish and you put the time in, you will be speaking sentences in no time!

at first, i was skeptical about learning a language via an audiobook, but it works surprisingly well.

don’t expect do achieve proficiency, but on your next (holdiday) trip to a spanish speaking country, you should be able to get the basics, such as asking for directions, making a reservation or if required get a doctor, right.

personally, i feel the book could have dropped the „alternative ways“ for future and past tense and rather focus more on breadth (more vocabulary), but the generalized rules (translating english words that end with „-ation“ or with „-ect“ will give you a toolboox)

AMAZING and practical

This has just been an amazing purchase. I am a complete visual learner, so never thought this would be effective for me, but it came highly recommended, so I decided to try it. His voice is calm, he circles around topics, and then circles back again so you learn in "layers". I am thrilled with this purchase, and can't wait to get the next in the series. HIGHLY recommend.

Love the Program, But He Needs to Give More Pauses

I really enjoyed this program. He built upon a foundation, starting from your very first Spanish word, and then all of a sudden you can speak a full sentence. Paul Noble has a pleasant (British) voice, and I especially liked the male native speaker because he enunciated well. I found that sometimes the woman rushed words together - which is probably accurately said (just like we do in English) - but makes it difficult to learn for a non-native speaker. But it wasn't too bad, she just did it sometimes. The constant input/output, which was really invented by Pimsleur, helps you simulate speaking a conversation. It is not exactly the same, but it's pretty close. I paired this with Memrise for the vocabulary, Collins Easy Grammar, and the Spotify Podcast called Accelerated Spanish. Next week, I plan to begin using some Skype services such as italki, Baseland, Spanishplusweb, or Rypeapp. The only reason I gave this four stars instead of five stars is because Paul Noble REALLY needed to give just a little bit extra pause after he asks for input and after the woman speaks. He really only gave the same pause as the length of time that the male speaker spoke - but for new learners, this won't be enough. For this reason, I had difficulty playing this in my car because I constantly needed to hit the pause button.

Mexican speakers make fun of you.

After chapter 25 you lose the Latin American speaker. The Spanish speaker is difficult to understand and adds phonemes that don't actually exist in the Latin American word. Mexican speakers make fun of the words and pronunciations being used.

It really does work!

I love this course! Paul starts by building on words that you’re probably already familiar with, so you get a good jump start. He teaches you how to build sentences, instead of rote memorization of a series of travel phrases (a staple of other courses). It’s a relaxed, no-pressure, encouraging approach, and best of all, it STICKS. I am retaining more with this course than several others I’ve tried.

I loved these lessons to help advance my Spanish. I really felt like I was advancing at an accelerating rate! However, after buying the first 2 bundles, I was unable to find another lesson to further advance myself, so I found another audio lesson from a different author. Unfortunately, I’m not as happy with this audio.
