Firstly, to those who are appauled because this book bundle covers profanity in addition to MANY other things, why did you get the this book in the first place? I mean the title is How to Speak Spanish Like a MF so I don't know why you bought the book or what you were expecting.

Secondly, as a woman, I am delighted to learn as many vulgar words as I can in Spanish. Not because I want to use them myself, I don't, but because we women are frequently the object of unwanted attention from men. And I think it's good if I can identify the creeps and the perverts by what they are saying instead of waiting until I am approached. So I would give this 5 stars for that alone, thank you Patrick Jackson!!!

Now that I got that off my chest, you should know that I got an advanced copy of this in exchange for me providing my honest review. If you have bought any of Patrick's programs before, this follows the same winning format. There's a conversation between Spanish speakers at real speed, then the conversation is broken down and they go into conversation drills. The conversation is then repeated at the end of each chapter but it doesn't seem as fast and that's because you aren't struggling to keep up and process what everyone is saying this time around. There's also a section where questions are posed to you and are given time to respond before the voice actor does. This helps you reinforce and internalize what you just learned. The conversation drills are really useful and will help you converse more easily and sound more natural and fluid.

In addition to learning how to conjugate and use several important verbs, the vocabulary has been updated to include technology terms such as uploading, downloading, files, apps, professions in the tech field, etc. I am kind technologically challenged myself but it is one of those things we all have to know. And I can see how it would be important to know how to communicate about tech things when traveling for work or for fun.

That's one of my favorite things about Patrick's programs because they help you to speak real conversational Spanish and they help you tune your ear so that you can understand what people are saying to you (this is the hardest part for me). You get hours upon hours of extremely useful content. The format is very straightforward and very effective. I highly recommend this bundle. I have bought every one of Patrick's previous books and they have helped me immensely. Native Spanish speakers often compliment me on my pronunciation and my being fairly conversational and Patrick's books have been a big part of my success.
