What’s that screw for?

I found this product when I searched “guitar centerpieces” and I bought it to use in a flower arrangement for my brother in law’s memorial service. Overall the quality is good except there’s a random screw that doesn’t seem to hold anything together (second picture). You can’t “unsee” it once you’ve seen it. Also, be aware the measurements given for this product are in cm and not in. I was expecting something much bigger. Definitely not worth the price.
