    We tried [...]and I just wasn't satisfied with how easily she could get distracted or navigate away from the lesson I wanted her to work on. With this program, she stays focused and moves through the steps to earn the rewards. She loves playing it and asks to play daily.

    I was so excited about this game, bought it for my 4 year old for Christmas, installed it less than a week later, only to find out that he can't get to the actual learning because I'm not made of money and won't pay for something I already paid for. I returned the game directly to Knowledge Adventure Inc with a well worded note telling them just what I thought of their marketing technique. I will not pay for something I've already bought. I would recommend that if you find yourself in the same situation, to write to them directly and complain. (I wish I had done some additional searching when I was purchasing the game. If I had read the reviews, I would have saved my money and bought a quality product.)

    I think Jump Start should be ashamed of themselves. It was obnoxious getting this game installed... having to register, build a person (while being constantly told "you can't pick THIS unless you are a member") etc. However, I thought it would be worth it if in the end my son could use the game I PAID for. After all that aggravation, he can only play one game without a subscription. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!? I don't have an issue with subscription based games, but they should be accessed online. If I PAY for something upfront, it should work. ALL OF IT. It is very frustrating for my son to see all these "worlds" he can not access because I will NOT pay for it. I feel deceived and I now have a bad taste in my mouth for this company. I can't say I will never buy anything from them again (I never say never), but I am much more relucant and will not purchase a Jump Start product on blind faith. I will research the product first. I did not give just one star because the package comes with a music CD and my son loves the songs (and I like a few of them too LOL). Since I didn't very pay much for this at a discount closeout store, for me, the music CD was worth what I paid. However, if I had paid even close to full price I would be LIVID.

    I purchase this in Marshall's store (otherwise I wouldn't).
    This is OK game if baby is not a native speaker - I purchase for my daughter just to push her little harder into learning English (since we do not speak English at home). We downloaded it now and she likes it so far. Besides this is a nice game for a beginner in these kind of interactive games. It is fun just to walk around and talk/listen to other animated heros. I am pretty sure that my 4yo will get bored soon (when she'll finish all the games) and I am sure that I won't purchase membership for upgrade. But considering very low price I paid it is OK for now just to keep baby busy and learn some basic stuff.

    The JumpStart programs now require you to have a username and password to Jumpstart to use their software. I have done this but still cannot get the game to install completely. Have to call customer support. I expect the kids will like it if I ever get it to work.

    This game is incredible! It's like MySims for preschoolers. My 3yo son absolutely loves it and is learning so much from it. His big brother and sister learned from the early JumpStart series. Those were good, too, but this is even better!

    One note - if your preschooler isn't capable of following directions (or isn't interested), then many features of the game remain locked. I had to help my 3yo with this.

    Was not what I expected. It did not run well on our Windows XP operating system. I think this software may work better on a different OS.

    The box specifies that an internet connection is required but I didn't notice that anywhere here on Amazon. If you have a computer that isn't plugged into the internet then forget about playing this game. It's not possible. Not even sure about a monthly membership fee but it looks like it's needed to play too.
