I don't get sausage with breakfast, but I'm eating breakfast inside

Was making pancakes and sausage.

Sausage decided to spontaneously change its flavor from "maple" to "extra smoky" - which is to say flames started shooting out of the toaster oven. I had a fire blanket and threw it on top of the toaster oven.

Now, it would seem that I am not a patient soul when it comes to matters of my home burning down. The flames didn't stop immediately, but they were an order of magnitude smaller. I feel pretty good about the blankets ability to stop the fire had I left it at that.

But I lifted the blanket up to hit the fire with this extinguisher. Flames stopped instantly. I'm really glad to have had both, but I think either would have been able to stop the fire on its own. I bought the extinguisher 22 months ago and I've had a slight fear in the back of my mind that it wouldn't functional after sitting unused for almost 2 years. Nope - it worked perfectly and instantly.

Giving the extinguisher 5 stars because I can't give it 6. I'm annoyed that my breakfast doesn't have sausage instead of being devastated that my home is burning down. It has my stuff in it. And my spouse, too.

I purchased this extinguisher three years ago. Had a lightening strike to the house last night that ended up starting a fire where the propane connects to the furnace. The propane was fueling the fire. My husband ran out to turn the propane off at the tank (it didn't help to turn the shutoff off at the unit as the fire was before that point), I grabbed this wonderful product. I didn't think it would work because it was being fueled by the propane, but it worked perfectly! Had we not had the EZ First Alert Fire Spray, we would not have a home this morning.
Believe me, this would be the best present you could give anyone you care about.

I normally don't write reviews on here. I bought this a year ago just to have and for safety. Yesterday my stove top caught fire while I was cooking (no idea how that happened) and the flame went straight to the ceiling. I l grabbed this and the fire was out within 2 seconds. I would 100% recommend for everyone to have this just for those "just in case" moments. If I didn't have this, I don't know what I would do.

Convenient and easy

Love that this is convenient and easier to use in a hectic/scary situation than a typical fire extinguisher. I only dinged one star because I swear the container looks like a can of whipped cream and if you had kids in the house that could be a concern.

I haven't used it yet and hope I never have to, but it is good to know it is there in case I have to. I was actually surprised at how heavy it is, but that means it has a lot of the stuff in it to put out a fire so a good thing.
I had a kitchen for a while back and it can be really scary and while the baking soda did the trick it took most of it. It would have been better to have this can of fire spray at the ready.

I live in a smaller home I don’t have a lot of space. Up until this point I’ve always kept those smaller fire extinguishers with the pin in the kitchen and one on the other side of the house they take up a lot of room. I saw this product and decided to purchase it. The ingredients are the exact same as in the other fire extinguishers. It’s just like a spray that you would use for bug spray or hairspray. It does come out more forcefully but that’s the point. It has a nice top to put on top and I’m putting this in my pantry near my stove. I have only used a fire extinguisher twice in my entire life many years ago. I’m older now and this will be a lot easier than having a fire and pulling the pin and then aiming giving time for the fire to flourish. Excellent product for a great price.

Put out the fire quickly after I got the tamper seal plastic off. Who's idea was it to put something like that on emergency supplies?! I wasted at least 30secs trying to get it off! I was panicking thinking it was going to spread because I grabbed the bottle instead of the fire extinguisher! It was also pretty easy to clean up after it, just like an oily residue.
