1.0 out of 5 stars Great sound, very stiff keys, dysfunctional sustain pedal and lousy music stand
Reviewed in the United States on February 20, 2024
I love how beautiful this piano looks and the size was perfect for my bedroom. Also, the grand piano tones are really beautiful. However, the keys are really stiff, making it difficult to play intermediate and advanced piano pieces, especially when you place your fingers closer to the back of the keys. I don’t think I would want a beginner to struggle with that as they’re learning to play. Unfortunately, the sustain pedal stopped working after only one week, and all attempts to replace it failed. The original pedal uses an 5-pin MIDI connector (instead of the usual 1/4 inch audio jack). I tried a three pedal unit that used a 5-pin connector, but it didn’t work. I even tried a universal sustain pedal with an audio connection adapter, but it didn’t work either. I tried to contact the seller to get a replacement pedal, but I never heard back from them. Also, the music stand tilts way too far back and is too short to support paper sheet music. The music stand needs to be thicker for better tilt, and a lot taller. My copy of canon in d started to bend backwards when I got to the last page. I had to cut out a larger piece of wood to replace it—17 3/4ths inch x 11 inches, 1/4 inch thick. The only other gripe I have is that the volume resets every time the piano turns off, and it defaults to full volume whenever it turns on, which is way too loud for anything except a concert or recital. I don’t consider that a dealbreaker, though, just a minor annoyance. I’ve returned this piano and replaced it with the Yamaha p225 model. Its far more expensive, but this time, the universal pedal I bought worked just fine, and the key action is much lighter and better. The sound on the Yamaha is gorgeous and it’s a delight to play. The extra money for the Yamaha was definitely worth it!

1.0 out of 5 stars Don’t waste your time

Let me save you some time- just buy the more expensive name brand keyboard. The sound in this is so terrible. The keys are pretty difficult to push. The users manual has like, 5 different diagrams but doesn’t tell you which one matches the model you have. There are 1000 different “tones” but you literally have to push the up/down arrows to get to the one you want. YOU HAVE TO PUSH THE BUTTON 1000 TIMES TO TRY ALL OF THEM.
And it’s actually very difficult to figure out. Even the volume control was confusing. Don’t waste your time.

1.0 out of 5 stars It is a piece of junk
Reviewed in the United States on June 15, 2024
I am a master student in piano performance. I bought it as a gift. This so called piano is a piece of junk. It’s wooden (MDF) box makes it beautiful but, music wise, it’s just a trash. The keys are stiff, you would think it’s good that it’s not soft like a midi keyboard. But you’re wrong. It’s not weighted! It literally stiff. The stiffness would not allow you to play. I wouldn’t talk about it’s sound quality because I wasn’t expecting that it would have a nice sound which obviously i was absolutely right! But i really didn’t think it would be this much hard to press the keys down !! For decorating your house, maybe it’ll work. But for musical use, even at beginner level, just FORGET it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Could be better
Reviewed in the United States on April 17, 2024
It arrived all scuffed up due to poor packaging. It's not user friendly at all and the instructions are poor. The speakers are on the bottom so the sound is muffled and the piano vibrates from somewhere when playing the lower notes. Will be returning.
