Excellent Visualization tool for Organic / Inorganic Chemistry

I have used a number of different Molecular Model Kits, and this YCHOULEK kit is really good. There are plenty of available 'Atoms', with the bonding points at the correct angles. It gives a superb visualization of whichever molecule you assemble, allowing you to more easily study and memorize the shapes and components. The pieces bond together easily. The 'short bond' removal tool is brilliant. It allows those hard to grip V-bonds to be disassembled without ruining the plastic.
The insert sheet on the underside of the lid is great as well, it describes each atom by color, number of bond sites and the relative angles. It also has the quantity of each piece, making it very easy to inventory.
The box itself is OK. The container is able to nest inside the lid and it appears that multiple sets are able to stack, without slipping.
The only drawback with this set is that the lid does not snap or latch in place. The lid rests on top and can be knocked off easily if bumped. The contents would spill out easily, if dropped.

Nothing of note really, this is a reasonably well manufactured set of model atoms & bonds that are great for illustrating concepts in organic chemistry.

Basic, low number of carbons

This is a well-made but rather basic kit with only 15 carbons. It doesn't take long to use them all up when making multi-ring organic compounds. That being said, it should be enough for introductory college o-chem classes and homeschoolers.
The quality of the kit is nice, with tough plastic atoms and more flexible bonds. Everything seems to fit together tightly to the point where the included separation tool is a necessity. The atom colors are bright and show up well on videos and in pictures. The case isn't great as the "walls" don't go up high enough to keep the smaller molecular bond pegs from migrating to other compartments. You will probably want some sort of extra strap to make sure the lid doesn't come off easily.
All in all, it's definitely good for learning o-chem.

Great for Chemistry Students

This kit has been great for assisting me in learning organic chemistry since I feel that there are some things that are better understood when seen as a physical object rather than as a flat picture in a book. Being able to model cis and trans isomers of alkenes using this kit helped me understand the concept better because I could actually see that double bonds can’t rotate. The pieces fit together well without much effort and they stay put together without falling apart. While I don’t have trouble getting the pieces apart when dismantling a molecule, the kit does come with a piece separating tool should you run into problems. The plastic case that the kit comes with is sturdy, however the lid is only held on by a friction fit and will come off and spill if it is tipped over. I would recommend keeping the plastic bag it came with or using tape to secure the lid when it's not in use.

Perfect set for science class

This Molecular Set is perfect for the new and old working with molecules. We are using it in our homeschooling for elementary age students and they are captivated by them. They come in a variety of sizes for small hands and present a visual that children can adapt to and hold to the teachings. They are easy to assemble and are worth the value.

Nice Basic Set But Terrible Storage Box

I teach university science and have several molecule kits for classroom demonstration. This set is slightly less well molded than my other sets with a small amount of flashing on the plastic pieces, but it’s not conspicuous and not enough to dock a star. You can create a variety of basic organic molecules with this set (though bigger molecules one at a time—this set does not have enough parts for multiple large molecules). However, the storage box is a terrible design. First, the dividers are well below the top edge of the box, allowing the small connectors to move freely between compartments — an annoying issue. Second (and probably worse), the lid is entirely loose and does not latch in place. Under normal circumstances this is just a total disaster waiting to happen, but in a classroom setting with kids all around a major molecular spill is guaranteed! I strongly recommend you buy a kit with a latching lid instead.

This is an excellent learning tool for home schooling or for helping students understand the basics of chemistry. This kit comes in a nice case and is easy to use. Very good for hands on learning.
