    Great book for men like me who don’t read a lot. The author packs a lot into short chapters, focusing on developing intimacy with our awesome God, and encourages the reader at the end of each chapter with practical steps for applying it to his/her life before jumping to the next chapter. Good to use as a devotional.

    I am aware of him and wife Lisa. I purchased the book because of the reviews. OMG! I LOVED EVERY SINGLE WORD! Thought provoking. Examine oneself. I sat quietly with each small, but POWERFUL chapter. I didn't rush. I moved as the Lord lead me to. It was so RICH!!! SO GOOD!!! SO DELICIOUS!!! Depending where you are in your walk with Lord, it can confirmation for what you are already doing, or ouch for growth, or making some adjustments or all. This book is beautifully written. Thank you John for allowing the Lord to speak through you. I am grateful.

    John spoke at our Church was a pleasure to listen to so I purchased the book and I am so glad I did. It takes about 5 minutes to read each day's chapter and each day has a 5 min video on a computer tab I keep open. No matter how much you read your Bible, you will get so much out of this book and the videos to help in your walk with God and our Savior.

    This is good for a life group, small group, or Bible study. At first I wasn't really that into it, but paired with the Study Guide, it proved to be a solid choice. I definitely gained more perspective on the fear of God and how for me that translates to reverence. Our small group discussions during this study were great.

    This book challenged me so much and really helped me to have a good grasp on what it actually means to fear the Lord and have reverence for Him! It has empowered me and yet also humbled me. I feel like this book has truly strengthened my relationship with God as well! John Bevere knocked it out of the park!

    I suppose the English language has no better word than fear. The central message I took away is that to know God intimately is to also appreciate that His greatness is beyond our full comprehension so that we treat Him with the respect He deserves. His grace comes first and overlooks our initial disrespect for Him. But He lets us closer the more we truly strive to give Him the due respect as we learn more about His Awesomeness. The response of the 3 disciples at Jesus's transfiguration, Paul's response on the road to Damascus, are the New Testament equivalents of an encounter with the majesty of God. God's majestic brilliance is only dangerous to those who'd disrespect it ???????? For those who love Him, it is an inviting warmth to protect us from the cold outside His embrace
