Must Have Toddler Training Potty

I have dreaded having to train my little man to use the toilet. I must state there was prework that was done such as having him understand that "pee and poop go in the _____" his response: "toilet". After drilling that in his head for quite some time - it was all about finding the right product. I saw a lady using this at the park with her daughter and of course, all the parents inquired about it. This other gentleman and I signed right onto Amazon and ordered it as she was telling us about it. We replied, "SOLD". LOL. Here are a few pros and cons that I experienced with the product.

Pros:
- It's easy to take on the go and to use anywhere.
- Converts from a stand-alone product to a product that can be used with the grownups toilet.
- The bags fit nicely, absorbs pee, and they are easily disposable.

Cons:
- The legs should be built stronger. I have a tallboy and I'm nervous those legs are going to give out on him.
- The bags stick to their legs (on a hot day) as they get up - need to make sure that the bag is secured tighly.
- The front lip should be bigger to help the boys keep their parts tucked in. I'm always nervous that he won't back up far enough to keep everything inside.

Overall, one evening I kept my boy walking around with his bottom half-naked and as I'm working in the kitchen. I hear his voice say "pee-pee dada" as he walks over to me. At first, a bunch of adult words ran through my head, because I thought he went pee all over the floor. As I walked over, I saw he went pee in the ____ "toilet"! Yes! It was a success! Now I have to pray for continued success. LOL. Best of luck to all the potty training parents out there. If you are looking for a good overall product - I would recommend this one.

Easy & compact! We started to potty training and now that we've somewhat mastered it, we like to go alot of walks so we needed something portable in case there wasn't any restrooms around. Fits perfectly under both are smaller and larger stroller. Like that it came with bags & a travel bag to store it. We have tried it over the "big people" toilet and fits perfect. Easy to clean as well as to snap the legs in and out. I searched and searched and went with this one.

We bought this to keep in the car for emergencies when we're on the road with our 3 year old girl. I've used it once in the car so far for a #2. And figured out it also worked great for avoiding festival porta potties in the Louisiana heat. I was able to set it up in her wagon and put down one side of the blackout shade for privacy.
The bag feels a bit cheap, but it has plenty of room for the seat, a few bags and a few puppy training pads (I put these under the seat for any accidents).
The bags that come with it are nice and thick with a small absorbent pad to help prevent splashes.
Tldr: Nice to have on hand for car rides and outside events

It is sturdy, fits on the floorboard or seat of the car so everyone can't watch your child going to the bathroom, and the legs easily fold up for storage. This has been so helpful for being in the car, and not just for vacations. After school, on the way to the store, day trips, etc. - this thing comes in handy. My only recommendation is to buy the refill pack of bags to keep on hand, because what comes with the potty seat gets used up quickly. You can also use plastic grocery bags, but you have to be certain they don't have any holes in them. Plus, the bags that come with this have an absorbent pad on the bottom of the bag to help soak up some of the urine. Even with poop, once you tie the bag tightly there's not a horrific smell emanating from the bag if a trash can isn't readily available. Your hands stay clean tying it up because it's the handles of the bag that squeeze into the holders on either side and keep the bag in place, so they don't get messy. We've never had a spill or an issue with the bag coming loose.

Great training tool, but too small for my toddler.

We purchased this product for a family camping trip with our 2-year-old, potty-training toddler. He ditched the diapers about three weeks before our trip and is doing really well. This chair is great to keep in our tent so we don’t have to trek to the bathrooms each time he tells us he needs to go. It’s easy to use and easy to clean. Our only issue is that it’s too small for our kiddo. Our son is 35 lbs and he needs more room to sit, especially if he needs to poop and pee. He has not learned to stand and pee, so we have had multiple instances where his penis doesn’t point down and so he pees straight out over the chair. I think if this came in another size, it would be perfect, but it is definitely not a “one size fits all” kind of product. Parents of boys, beware!

OXO did not disappoint, as usual. I wish I’d bought this sooner. My kid is 25 months old and about 31 lb. We’ve been toilet training for a few weeks using one of the step ladder to seat combos that sits on our toilet. I got this for travel and was a little scared that he would refuse to sit on top of the plastic liner covering the seat. However, he didn’t seem to bat an eyelash. LOVE it!!! The fact that the liner covers the whole seat makes me feel great about not having to intensely disinfect this on the go. I used the OXO liners with it and they fit wonderfully and no leaks! The legs/wings fold up as compactly as they could but it’s not the smallest travel seat in existence. But for me that is easily outweighed by the cleanliness, stability, and function.
