This is the classic Mk1 version of TouchOSC for older devices, please check out the new version now simply called TouchOSC on the store.

TouchOSC is a modular OSC and MIDI control surface.
It supports sending and receiving Open Sound Control and MIDI messages over Wi-Fi.

The application allows to remote control and receive feedback from software and hardware that implement the OSC or MIDI protocols such as Apple Logic Pro/Express, Ableton Live, Renoise, Pure Data, Max/MSP/Jitter, Max for Live, OSCulator, VDMX, Resolume Avenue/Arena, Modul8, Plogue Bidule, NI Traktor, NI Reaktor, Quartz Composer, Supercollider, vvvv, Derivative TouchDesigner, Isadora and many others.

The interface provides a number of customizable touch controls to send and receive messages:

Faders / Rotary controls / Encoder controls / Push buttons / Toggle buttons / XY pads / Multi-faders / Multi-push / Multi-toggles / Multi-xy pads / LEDs / Labels / Time & battery displays

Additionally the program can send Accelerometer data. The application comes with example layouts and completely custom layouts can be constructed using the free TouchOSC Editor application.

Great control surface software for working with MIDI Control Messages. There are setup and use instructions on their website that are easy to follow. Setup was simple using TouchOSC Bridge to handle MIDI over LAN. Note that I am using this as a CC control surface and am not using OSC back from my DAW (it does not support OSC). I use it to control VSTs like EW Hollywood Orchestra and for transport control of my DAW (Sonar).

Pros:
Easy to set up
Good set of controls

Cons:
There does not seem to be a way to send a single CC message. For example, a button will send a message on touch and another on release. Minor inconvenience that is easily worked around.

Excellent Program. Would like the ability to send Strings as an argument for a button. ie. : Sending a string to Reaper for a custom command.

Doesn't work! Heralded "enable switch" for OSC connection doesn't exist on my android version. Android documentation a joke . . . developer takes your money and leaves the rest to you. The only thing professional about this farce was my ability to delete it from my Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone and rely on my on resources. Per the old adage . . . "buyers beware".

I bough it on the Amazon app store for my kindle fire. I set up a wireless router for use with the app and my macbook pro. It worked flawlessly at home when i tested it out, but it was acting up during my gig. I know that a kindle is not the best idea to use this on, but i thought that the app wasnt too intensive. I still have hopes for the app / my setup. I will update my review when i do a few more tests. I do recommend the app. just make sure your setup is reliable... I give this 3 stars because hexler decided to offer the app for the kindle fire, but it might not have been the most compatible things to combine. I lightly want my money back for the amazon purchase, but i understand that all sales are final. BTW, i also own the app for ios.. no problems with the iphone 5.
