I ordered a set and put it in my BMW 1250 GS on Monday. On Friday, they paid off. If you are like me, you are probably asking the question “how do would we know if they actually work?” Well today, it was one hour before sunset and me two of my riding buddies where in the mountains. I am in the front and the 2nd rider was maybe 200 feet behind me. In my Cardo PackTalk Edge I hear them yelling. A deer jumped out and came within inches of hitting rider #2 from the side. The deer just missed the rear of his Honda Africa Twin.
Why don’t the dear jump out when I passed? I believe because of the two deer whistles. Is it worth the price…indeed. Was the install easy…absolutely. Are all my friends ordering them via Amazon, you betcha.
They blend in very well to my bike. I highly recommend.
The following day, a deer was on the side of the road and when I came across the deer and it got spooked, but it did not cross the road, it ran along side the road for about 5 seconds, then it went back in the forest. I was going about 45 MPH and the whistle requires you to be going at least 35 MPH to have the whistle work.
It is worth it.
