This is a separate company than the brand Nonni Biscotti, but they have the same owner. While the recipe is the same as Nonni’s, the Dolce Vita are smaller sized , 2 inches rather than Nonni 4-5 inch. I think this makes the Dolce Vita a bit denser. I like the texture and size of these better than I do the Nonni, but I like Nonni too. Usually, the package will also have the small round end pieces from when the cookies are cut. They use whole alomnds as well. Happy to report there was very little breakage , but I like the chunks to crumble on to gelato anyhow. Mine were purchased about 2.5 months after production with a best before date of 1 year July 2025.

The biscotti was delivered in optimum condition as you can see in the photos. Nothing busted up or pulverized into dust so that was nice. The texture is fine and it’s fresh. Nice and crisp but not too hard nor dry. It does also have a small tinge of anise which personally is very much to my liking and how I always ate biscotti growing up, but that’s about where the taste ends. It’s so bland. Besides that tiny taste of anise the biscotti has no taste at all. It’s like eating a plain biscuit. This was disappointing. I’ll eat some of it but won’t order again. I gave 3 stars just because they got everything else right like freshness, crunchy but not rock hard, etc. taste is 2stars, and only because I like anise.
It’s also a HUGE container of biscotti lol I didn’t realize it was this massive when I purchased it. Not sure what I’m going to do with all of this bland biscotti but I suppose everyone will be having biscotti for dinner for the next year ????
