My daughter just moved into an apartment at college. I bought these instead of a traditional fire extinguisher for three reasons: 1. they are small and more accessible to leave out in places that make it fast to grab and use, 2. it is much less intimidating for young adults to use these than to grab for a traditional fire extinguisher, 3. They come in three packs, so we took one outside and tested it so my daughter and her roommates know how to use the other two in an emergency!

I’m writing this based on the product not being used.

This is a convenient size can for personal use. I like that it’s not bulky. It fits nicely under my kitchen sink and it my trunk. Each can came with a wall mount and there are screws provided.

It looks fairly easy to use to anyone who doesn’t know how to use a regular extinguisher. Just pop off the lid and spray like any old aerosol can.

Small size. Can easily be moved. Have mine on kitchen counter and one on shelf in garage. Have not used yet and hope I will never have to use.

I cannot attest to how these actually work, and I hope I never do. I love how they are dummy-proof. It seems to me that even children can figure out how to use them, even under stress. I'm a former firefighter, so I'm not running down a classic old-fashioned fire extinguisher.... but I doubt my wife and children could pull 1 (sometimes 2) pins, get the hose unhooked, and hold the extinguisher in one hand while holding the hose in the other, while there is a fire emergency. It's simply more complicated than a spray can! Hands down. I know these hold hardly any extinguishant, even compared to a tiny vehicle/ kitchen fire extinguisher, but the ease factor sold me.
