Pros: This is a large chest freezer, with flat back to the wall option. It is cooling faster than expected after installed and plugged in.
Cons: The handle is flimsy. We haven't been able to get the screws all of the way in (yet), and will get out the drill to finish the job coming up. It's also a hollow plastic, that over time will crack and need replaced.
The other con, and this one is more concerning to me is, the size posted is wrong.
28"D x 70"W x 35.04"H
It's probably 55"W instead. I haven't bothered with the other two measurements.
The reason this matters is, there are wider (longer) chest freezers with less available cubic feet like this one's measurements suggested, because of additionally better elements like insulation, motors being heavier duty, better components, and better sound buffering. So, I thought this was a great deal on one of those types of options. Instead, it's relatively standard for a regular flat against the wall chest freezer.
We also had inserts that would have fit it if it had indeed been the size it claimed, already. My only concern was the idea of a single lid versus double lids for a 70 inch chest freezer.
All of that being said, we needed one immediately, so a return was not an option. It is chilling and we will have it in use shortly. Amazon did make it right for us, which I'm thankful for. However, I think correcting the measurements on the description category and the Technical Details area of the posting as well, needs to be done, so this isn't an issue in the future for individuals looking for a better insulated chest freezer.
Now, outside of getting a different product in size than expected, it does seem to be 14 cubic feet model (so available cubic feet), flat back (so can go directly up against the wall design). The cord comes out of the right hand side of the product (pictures do not show where the cord comes out) near where the vent grills are. The controls are simple dial with up to 7 for temperature. Other chest freezers out there have a constant set of settings (so not limited by numbers, but more of a gradual change as you rotate, with more temperature variations instead for more control over temperatures).
So, overall, since the size is wrong posted for it in multiple places, I feel this is a 3 star product. Simply, you are losing features that go into insulation and better elements that impact interior available space that would have been in place if those measurements were accurate.
Now, if they post the corrected information I'd up it a bit to about 4 stars based on it meeting expectations based on information on the page. The flimsy handle and the single lid versus dual lid issue, the flimsy handle will fail over time. You are also at higher risk of losing contents during a power outage with the lesser amount of insulation indicated by the actual size. It cools fast to a setting. That is a plus.
