After searching and searching for a two burner electric cooktop for our tiny home, I finally settled on this one. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I am very happy with this purchase. This cooktop is beautiful and it heats up very quickly. I even think it boils quicker than my regular electric stove at my old apartment. I believe that someone wrote a review saying that this is an induction cooktop- it is NOT. It functions like a regular electric stove. I have not had any issues with any of the cookware I already own. I’ve used cast iron, non-stick ceramic, and stainless steel cookware all without any issues. The child lock is the best feature. My son is 3 and can very easily reach the cooktop, but the child lock keeps him from turning it on. Overall very easy to use and the child lock option is amazing.

Also, my dad is a handyman and he was able to install it. If you are not familiar with electric, I do not suggest you try to install on your own because it does not come with a cord that plugs into an outlet, so definitely consider hiring someone. I myself had no clue how to install this.

I'd marry it and take it to my next house if I could. I'm picky and used to top of the line appliances such as Jenn-Air (was slow) and Kichenaid (loved), so I was reluctant to gamble on this cooktop from a completely unknown company. I was particularly nervous about losing the knobs for touch pad. In my experience things that high tech usually don't work and although it does start beeping when I put too much water on it to clean it or when a pot boils over it otherwise, works great. The reviews encouraged me to chance it, in addition to the fact that I've been known to burn up a good pot or two..let's face it several, so I thought the timer would cut down on new pots and pans!
It absolutely takes time to get in the groove of a totally new method of controls but I've seen worse in product brands I'm used to where you couldn't figure out what knob went with what burner. This cooktop is really easy once you get the hang of it and the timer is so handy, I can't go back..can't. .I can now go off leave the room and not worry about the water boiling out and scorching a pot. The only way to improve it would be to actually be able to program a burner to go from boil-9 to simmer-1. I will say that my tendency to burn food was so bad before this because my previous cooktop had no simmer and burned everything if you turned it up higher than -5. This cooktop simmers beautifully then magically turns itself off to steam your veggies till you are ready. What more can I say--I'm in love. If I move...this cooktop will be the first thing I will replace or add to the existing kitchen

There is one slight caveat. That is that you cannot be a messy cook if you want it to look as beautiful as it arrives. You must wipe up spills as quickly as they happen even if you must change burners to do so. You will be using a soft soap cleaner and polishing it often..but for me it's like polishing my shiny new car...I love that too!

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this cooktop. The installation was simple taking into consideration my own issues which I had to be resolved. This cooktop has quite a lot of modern features including alarms, timers, child lock, hot stove warning, and dual burner mode, etc. I found the controls intuitive after a few minutes of testing. I replaced a 30-year-old cooktop with this unit and I'm very happy with the modern features. The problems that I had included the cutout being too short on the back side. I was able to shore that up with a piece of oak trim screwed in and siliconed it in place. Also I had to purchase a conduit connector to fit the wires coming from the stove. It would have been nice to have that piece in the package, but I understand connections are different for different set-ups. Also I had a burn spot on my formica cutout in the front, and in order to mask over the repaired gap with the oak trim, I purchased some black aluminum heatproof tape on Amazon and this worked great for masking over the gap and burn mark.

I did everything I could to avoid buying this cooktop. Few reviews, off-brand make, clearly a new market offering – I just didn't want to be the guinea pig.

We have an older home, with highly restricted installation space. I bought and returned big box brand names that just wouldn't fit. The cooktop absolutely had to be 20.5 inches wide or less. Most of the new brand name models are 21.5". The specs on this top said 20.5" and that's close. It's 30 5/32" long and actually 20 7/16" wide. Just prefect for our space.

Installation was simple. Beware that there is an error in the black and white instruction booklet that came with the unit. It says to connect the black and brown wire together (for certain installations) But there is no brown wire, period. There is a red wire. By process of elimination, I figured out that the red wire was in fact "brown" as referenced by the documentation.

A couple of reviews indicated that the burners didn't get red, or were slow to heat. If the unit is improperly wired then this outcome will result. However, properly wired, the burners glow bright red, and do so in seconds, cranking out the heat.

The controls take about 2 minutes to figure out. The teenagers complained about them for the first couple of days, but I haven't heard any whining since. Beware that the code "LO" doesn't mean low heat, as one would think, but LOCK. Press lightly on the lock button for 3 seconds and LO disappears restoring order to the universe. That's the only gotcha.

The glass top thickness appears the same as our previous Kenmore that lasted 25 years (before meeting a frozen block of mangoes at high speed). The unit feels decently solid, not thin or cheap as I feared. Would buy again.
