Couldn't seem to find any pure, simple, alcohol-free aloe vera products at my local grocery or pharmacies, so I turned to Amazon to see what works/could be shipped quickly. Fortunately this product by Seven Minerals was one of the top suggestions and I was so pleased to find that it is organically grown, US-farmed aloe, family owned, and just committed to being one of the purest aloe products out there. It's quite a bit pricier than what I was expecting to find at the local pharmacy, but well justified due to the high quality of the product.

I did a smell test immediately upon receiving the product and was again very pleased to find that it is exactly the scent of breaking open a fresh aloe leaf. Admittedly the scent of aloe is not my favorite (I find it a mildly off-putting) so I would not recommend this product based solely on how "nice" it smells, but by how natural and pure it is. The product absorbs instantly as promised and is not sticky or tacky at all.

Really happy overall to have found this product, can't wait to try other items from Seven Minerals.

Lightweight and soothing

This product is really lightweight and soothing on itchy skin. The product is one of the more effective aloe products since it is pretty much pure aloe. I remember my mom had used real aloe from the plant when I was younger and the plant had a very strong smell. This is the first time I’ve smelled the same scent albeit much milder. I’m not a fan of the smell but since it’s mild and it works, I will still use it.

I started using pure liquid Castile soap in September of 2022 and that completely eliminated my need for lotion, but my hands still needed SOMETHING. They still got flaky especially on my palms and were still somewhat prone to cracks (but tiny ones in places that weren't painful - I used to get them in the most painful places on my hands). It wasn't bad enough that I resorted to using lotion though. I hate using lotion because it gets on everything I touch afterward. I still needed it just a little bit though but my skin was significantly better after switching to the pure Castile soap. My solution was to just rub my hands together over a sink to get the flakes off. heh It worked quite well though and left my hands feeling softer. So I liked doing that.

This is my first time using aloe. I started using this 3 days ago and my hands are already far better than they were before. I no longer need to rub them together to get flakes off! So this is huge!

I know that it sounds like I'm reviewing aloe in general, but the 5 stars is because of the quality of this stuff. While shopping, I read that some aloe products can be sticky, hard to spread, can contain lots of bad and unnecessary ingredients, and can contain an inferior aloe. With the Seven Minerals Aloe Vera Gel, I think I'm getting the same experience that I'd get if I were getting aloe directly from the plant. It even smells like real aloe. I knew someone who had a real aloe plant and they showed me how they use it.

I don't leave this on my hands even though it does dry cleanly and doesn't feel like it's still there. I can still smell it and if my hands get warm and sweaty, they sweat easier than normal. So I know it's still there for sure. I'm a stickler for clean hands so that I keep my belongings clean (including handles on things like doors). So, I apply this liberally and I coat my hands completely and evenly. Then I wash it off 20 minutes later. This is the way I did it the first time and just like magic, my hands were soft and flake-free for the rest of the day! Yes, after just 1 use! So yeah, I don't want to stop using this, especially now with winter here in Minnesota.

I used to think aloe was over-hyped, but all the hype is true. It's amazing stuff, and I like this Seven Minerals Aloe Vera Gel so much that I don't have any interest in trying anything else.

Best aloe gel

I have purchased this aloe 3 times. I love that it's organic, has no additives, and has a nice jelly-like consistency. It's very high quality! I use it as hair gel. My scalp is very sensitive and I can't use commercial hair products. This gel holds my hair pretty well and makes it shiny. And my scalp condition has cleared up! I have healthy hair again. I also use this for burns. Well worth the price! I hope this company keeps making it, because I will keep purchasing!! Thank you for a great product.

I get sunburned a lot and this stuff is the best. It smells good,dries well, and the burn felt fine as long as I applied it. I usually take 2 weeks to heal from a bad sunburn. it's been 4 days and my skin feels fine now. I'd give 6 stars if I could.

I've used various aloe vera gels for sometime now, but I've never used anything quite like this. I was drawn to try it because of its organic qualities, and I can feel the difference, it's very natural. There's no smell, it's light and abosorbs quickly and makes my skin feel so soft without any sticky residue. I'm glad I got it, just in time for summer to sooth those pesky sunburns. If you are tired of sticky, aloe vera gels with more gel than aloe, give this a try.
