This is a fantastic ukulele. I’m a retired professional guitarist. This plays very well. The built in electronics sound great and built in tuner is handy and accurate. The enclosed tuners are smooth. The included accessories are excellent too. If you want a nice use you can perform with, this is a good one. I’m thinking of ordering another and set it up with a low G string so it plays like a guitar with a capo on the 5th fret.

I have over a dozen ukuleles, including an Ohana Solid Mango worth over $400. I couldn’t resist buying this mango for only $99. Too good to be true? No, it’s the real deal!

PROS:
True gloss SOLID mango! SOLID!!!!
The electronics are GREAT! Built in tuner, volume knob and 3 way tone control! Not to mention it is dead quiet through an amp when not played!
No sharp frets, and everything is what they call “tidy construction”
Sounds great plugged or unplugged!
Comes with gig bag, strap, hangar, picks, cloth and more!
Piezo pickup is good and even across all 4 strings.
Beautiful instrument and nice finish!

Cons:
A few high frets, but not much
Not the best strings (typical)
Action kind of high out the box. Over 3mm at 12th fret.
Intonation gets sharp up the neck…it may be because the strings are too high off the fretboard.

I plan to put Worth Brown strings on it (my favorite!)
Put a bone saddle in and sand it down for a goal of 2mm at 12th fret. That might cure the sharp intonation.
Maybe sand the nut down a bit…but it’s not too high. Out the box it’s very playable.

So the Ohana Mango cost 4x as much as this and it isn’t even electric….is it 4x better? No! This uke is well done! Easily one of my favorites now, and once I adjust it a bit, it should really impress! I also ordered the Caramel Solid Acacia Acoustic/Electric as it’s only $79 (?!?!). Wow! Acacia is basically koa wood not grown in Hawaii. I also have a Caramel uke bass, and it’s great too! Proof you don’t have to spend a lot to get a great instrument! I have ukes over $600 and this Caramel holds it’s own right up with them! Overall I am very impressed!

This ukulele sounded great straight from the box. Just a slight tuning requirement. Many useful accessories! The price was AMAZING!

This is an excellent tenor ukulele even at this modest price. The Zebrawood finish is stunning and the overall craftsmanship is very good. The sound is surprisingly rich and projects well. It plays easily. Fret board action is very good and the built in tuner is handy and accurate. This ukulele stays in tune. Once tuned after a day or 2, only minor adjustments were needed. The gig bag is marginal, it will keep the Uke from getting scratched but it's limited protection. I'll likely upgrade the case. I tried a couple of other ukuleles at a music store for more than double it's price and they didn't come close to the sound and playability of the Caramel. Highly recommended.

I bought this to add to my collection as I did not have a tenor ukulele. The fit and finish was good - a few rough spots on the top were smoothed out with wax. The ukulele is solid wood, hard to tell what type of mahogany it is - maybe sapele? The tuners are quite good, and I like the pegs which are more typically found on a guitar. It comes with two spare pegs. The strings it comes with are nothing great and took a while to settle. The sound is pretty good - nothing great, but nice. It comes with a padded case, picks, extra strings, cleaning cloth, amp cord, peg puller, and booklet - even extra button batteries for the tuner/pickup. The tuner is built-in and very easy to use. I plugged it into my amp and it worked fine with it. A tenor size is very nice to learn on, tunes the same at GCEA. You can’t go wrong with this uke - if you like the hobby, you will upgrade and you can gift this one to another beginner! There are so many great free resources to learn to play. Have fun!
