About this item
An experienced Texas ranch hand reluctantly falls for his much younger, very accident-prone coworker in this gay cowboy romance from acclaimed author A.M. Arthur.
Wyatt Gibson is in Texas looking for answers about his past. When he talks his way into a job at Woods Ranch, he never imagines that the hot cowboy he (almost) slept with the night before not only works there, but is the one showing him the ropes.
As a rustler at the ranch, Jackson Summer handles all sorts of things: mucking, herding, grooming, riding—and minding his own damn business. A lifetime of hurt will do that to a guy. What he never imagines handling is the greenest cowboy to ever step foot in Weston, Texas.
Jackson is determined to keep his heart safe—and falling for a hot young thing like Wyatt is definitely not safe. Especially because Jackson knows Wyatt is keeping a secret…one that he can’t quite put his finger on but that just might change life at Woods Ranch forever.

Jackson is content in his life. Living alone at a motel with Dog and working at Woods Ranch. His not in a relationship but gets what he needs from a bar outside of town and protecting his heart. When he sees the tall red head that's never been in the bar before he's interested until he finds out the red head is only 20. But he does settle for conversation with the man. What he never expected was walking into the barn the next day and he's looking at the man from last night.
Wyatt couldn't be happier to see the gruff cowboy from the bar. But Wyatt can't get involved with Jackson he is lookin for the truth that no one in his family will tell him. After research he finds himself at Woods Ranch at the perfect time when they are looing for a ranch hand. Brand agrees to give Wyatt an 8 week trail. Wyatt admits he's new to this world but it's something he wants and with Jackson as his mentor, he's something he really wants too.
I loved seeing Jackson open himself to Wyatt and their exchange of power. Wyatt is 20 years younger than Jackson but he's everything Jackson needs. The age gap isn't even an issue or odd. It was so well written you could feel the love between them. I loved seeing what happened with Brand and Wyatt. Those moments brought me to tears. I hope we get more from this series!
I received a copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.
5.0 out of 5 stars Danger, secrets, passion, and love
Later, Wyatt does get the job at the ranch, meets the man who is suspects may be his father, and his relationship with Jackson heats up. Still Wyatt doesn't want to reveal details of his suspicions because he needs to observe the family to see if what he's been told all his life is true. Jackson's always asked for truth, but this is one secret Wyatt isn't ready to reveal. Can love survive amidst the lies of omission and can Wyatt get the information he needs to assure his biological father's identity? This book has danger, strong emotions, passion, supportive friends and family, and a beautiful love.
4.0 out of 5 stars Creative Deeds Reads Review
Despite the age gap, Wyatt and Jackson are the perfect couple. I loved how they grew together and weathered the turmoil that the revelation of why Wyatt was really there caused. It wasn’t easy and there were some rocky moments, but it worked out for everyone – eventually.
I’m not sure what A.M. Arthur has in store for readers next, but I’m there for it. ????
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of His Accidental Cowboy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I'm really enjoying the Woods Ranch spinoff of Clean Slate Ranch, and this one was no exception. There's an age gap in this one, but they both seem to fit each other so it's not as big of a deal. There's a lot of history that causes issues and drama in this one, both their individual trauma sneaking up on them, and the actual history of Wyatt's parentage.
Mostly, I loved Jackson's sexy dominant but not abusive in any way gravitas. I absolutely would. LOL!
Not required to read the rest of the series, but does spoil some of the previous books, so up to you, but definitely recommended for MM and cowboy romance fans.
