    Tess found a photo album in the ruins of the house that has her asking questions about her husband’s family. Tess is still determined to see who set fire to her husband’s house even though there are not leads yet. Now her son Alex, has suddenly shown up without any warning & Tess isn’t too happy about this. Nick definitely isn’t because he knows Alex doesn’t like him. How will they all handle this weird situation? They both know Alex does not like Nick, little does Alex know that Nick is his real father. Alex is still trying to control his mother and make her return to Chicago or just leave the island & go on a cruise, anything just leave this weird place where everyone acted odd. Nick and Alex get into it while fishing and Nick decides to leave for a few days. He doesn’t say anything to anyone, he just leaves Tess a note that he is leaving the island & that it is best. So she & Alex travels back to Chicago to visit her in-laws. She has lots of questions for them. She finds out that her husband was adopted which she never knew. Her husband never told her that or talked about his childhood. Upon returning to the island she has a serious accident (or is it an accident?) and is hit by the mayor and ends up in the hospital. Nick’s friend tells him that Tess has had an accident & is in the hospital & he runs all the way there. Alex is there & he will not let him go in there. He told Nick to leave, but he doesn’t, he hangs out in the waiting room. She will finally confessed to Nick that Alex is his son! What??? Nick is in SHOCK!!!!!

    Whispers in the wind - book 5- I received my ARC copy and I’m voluntarily leaving my review. Oh my goodness so much is happening! I love this series. Tess is very determined to see who set fire to her house and now her son Alex has shown up! How will both of them handle this situation? Alex is trying to control his mother and make her return to Chicago or just leave the island. Tess travels to Chicago to visit her in-laws and finds out that her husband was adopted whichever she never knew!     The storyline is a good one. I do like how she puts her son into his place. And this one stopped at the big reveal...so I am waiting on book 6 to see how that plays out. But I do wish there was a better description of Nick. I do not have a mental picture of someone this pretty lady would want to be with. Maybe it's just me. I am anxious to see what the people in town seem to be keeping a secret about.

    Tess's son comes to see his mother and make sure she is okay, he does not like her choice of where she is living. He meets Nick and tell him how he feels about him being friends with his mother, he tells him he does not trust his motives. Nick does not want to cause problems between them, so he takes off and leaves town, which he has never left before. Tess is beside herself that her son treated Nicke that way, she lets him have it, she is a grown women and wants to make her own choices. Tess has an accident and Nick come back home to see her. Very good story, it gets better with each book. Waiting to see how this will all work out.

    Book 5 finds Nick and Tess dealing with the arrival of Tess’ son Alex. He takes a dislike to Nick and says he doesn’t want Nick around his mother. Nick lives so mother and son can spend time together. Tess convinces Alex to go to Chicago to see her in-laws hoping to get answers about a mysterious find. An unexpected accident find the three together again

    Good addition to the series

    Tess had found a book or ledger of of some kind. She took it to the library and found The Mayor had passed a law that EVERYTHING that happened in town was to be photographed and kept in a file. When she matched up the pictures she realized it was her husband David.
    She had to make a trip to Chicago and talk to his family. When she spoke to her Mother-in-law, she said "This is David's family, he was adopted, I thought you knew." He was from the South somewhere. And, Tess moves closer to the truth. Did David know that was his nephew?
    She has to tell Nick that Alex is his son. But, what else is going on?

    I received an advanced copy and am leaving a voluntary review. Her son arrives and tensions are high. Alex does not like Nick. Tess is upset. More information is found about her husband but than she has an accident. Tess tells Nick her secret and now what!

    Truly a page turner .. you will find some of the answers that Tess has been looking for ..are amongst these pages .. while more questions seem to perk up … and a truth that needed to be shared … happens but now I have to wait to see how that all turns out in book 6 ..
    oh my goodness … don’t miss out on this series .. it is a must …
