1.0 out of 5 stars Major disappointment - don't waste your money.

Pretty crap, tbh. I bought this thinking it was one of those Aquarium screen savers that was rendered - but its just a (very short) looping movie sequence that cross fades back to the beginning and resets the fish positions.

It's also a very low frame rate, so the fish movement is all juddery - and despite them being real fish - the authors have succeeded in making them look unrealistic.

Major disappointment - don't waste your money.

2.0 out of 5 stars Just A 2 Star App:(

Out of all of the 15 Different Live Aquarium Apps that I have and use on my Kindle, I'm sorry to voice my opinion in this way, but Coral Reef Aquarium is the Worst I'd ever had to pay $2.99 + Tax for. The quality is poor, you can see where it LOOPS. I'm just unimpressed. I expected something along the lines of an Actual under the ocean Coral Reef Appearance but both scenes you have to pick from are of fish in tanks with merely a Coral Reef Style Scenery look.

Really expected a longer play through than just a few minutes before repeating not worth the 3 bucks.

This is one of the apps by Serenity that I do not like. The fish are jerky and it does not look real at all. I have several of their relaxation videos and really like them. However, I would pass on this one if you are looking for an ambient aquarium.

This app should be priced 99 cents or less. I'm not happy with the fish movement.

1.0 out of 5 stars A very short looping sequence that jidders
Reviewed in the United States on November 24, 2014
Terrible. A looping sequence that is not very long. The playback is jiddery/not smooth which means the fish don't move around in a manner that is relaxing to watch (which is what one would be wanting if you were looking to watch fish swim in an app that is supposed to relax you). After a minute or so of play, the fish 'jump position' as the loop resets...again breaking the effect. After about 2 of these jumps is when you realize it loops and at that point you have little interest in watching what is going on as you've seen the sequence before. Might work as a background type of thing, but not as something you'll watch. All things considered, not a great app and terribly priced. Amazon don't (by policy) refund app purchases so be very careful about this one.

'Watch the calm marine fishes as they swim and sway gently through the currents.' - given the jiddery nature, they don't swim and sway gently and certainly not enough so for it to be relaxing to watch.
'It creates a soothing effect to your mind and body.' - no, the playback issues mean it doesn't, nor does the fact that every minute or so the video loops and the fish jump to the start positions. There is nothing soothing about watching this.
'which create a non-stop visual feast giving the appearance of being in a tropical ocean.' - nope, sorry. It not being smooth enough breaks the intended illusion, as does the loop.
'it has health benefits that includes lowering and controlling the blood pressure, calming the mind, and helping to alleviate anxiety and stress' - the jidders and the looping will counter all these points. There is nothing remotely relaxing about watching a short looping jiddery sequence. Instead you will be largely quite annoyed as to how you paid $3 for an app that doesn't achieve its goals.
'To make the app more suitable for meditating' - it's not really suitable for meditating, given all the above.
