We bought this from a recommendation from my grandsons music teacher. She says he's a natural and wants him to play the clarinet. My grandson is loving this recorder. The sound from it is amazing. I give it 5 stars.

This is a great recorder for beginners! The placement is easy for small hands to hold and move fingers. Fun tool to help kids learn about music with a side benefit of learning fine motor coordination. Sound quality is very good for this price point, obviously not a fine instrument, but great value for the price.

Works really well if you want to play the sad titanic song that is off key for a laugh. However, I’m sure it would work well if I knew what I was doing and tried to learn.

It doesn't sound great-- to be expected for a cheap child's toy. But it is a good first instrument to get them used to fingering and making noise. Its a good investment. Maybe the kid will like it and want to try it? There is an learn recorder for kids app on the google play store that facilitates this.

Glory seems to be a major knock-off instrument maker. They also sell concert flutes!
