5.0 out of 5 stars Works so well to clean coffee related tools and machines

I've heard this is the defacto cleaner used in most all coffee shops. For home use this jug will last a long time even with regular use. Easy to dissolve for back flushing and works wonders on screens, baskets, and other filters used for coffee. Your hardware looks clean, and then you drop it in some warm water with this cleaner... WOW! Cafiza really works well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Purchased this to clean a cloth coffee filter, but it has many other uses
Reviewed in the United States on June 4, 2024
I Purchased this to help keep a cloth coffee filter clean, but I have found another great use. I use Nalgene water bottles, and many times I will fill them up with Iced tea. The tea winds up staining the the bottles, and nothing I have used so far has been able to help get rid of the stains, That is until I tried to use a small bit of this in them. I used a teaspoon worth of this, and filled the water bottle up with warm/hot water. I then let it sit for 20 min. in the end, the stains wiped right off... This stuff is amazing... I can't wait to try it on other things I have that are stained!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great stuff

This stuff works well at getting out the stains inside your espresso machine (via backflushing), as well as cleaning the exterior. A special soapy concentrate. I'm sure it has a lot of other uses, I've just never explored them. But if you have an espresso machine that allows for backflushing, it's worth it to ensure your espresso taste remains clean. You don't need to use it that often, and this sized container will last a few more years (given we only have a few shots a day).

5.0 out of 5 stars Where Has This Been!?
Reviewed in the United States on July 31, 2024
I have been struggling for so long to clean my glass bottles where I store simple syrup and other flavored syrups.
The necks are too small to get a decent brush in, and I can never scrub under the curve where the bottles flare out from the neck.
I saw this as a recommendation from an instagram bartender, and immediately bought it. I pour a little bit (1-2 tbsp) into a bottle and then had very hot water into it and let sit. At the end of 20ish minutes I’ll give the bottles an aggressive shake and then boom. All the crud comes out.

Definitely still need to rinse and wash the bottles out after, but this does the trick!

It also works great at getting through built up coffee staining in my stainless steel cups. Same process as the glass ones.

Definitely get this if you have the same struggles as I did!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for cleaning wine glasses!
Reviewed in the United States on September 13, 2024
I bought this product for a different reason that it's meant to be used for. I've been frustrated by red wine stains in the bottom of my expensive Ridel wine glasses for some time. Nothing I've tried in the past worked to get the stains off! But then I saw a 'hack' on social media where a bartended used a little bit of Cafiza and it took the wine stains off of a wine decanter, so I had to try it. I put a teaspoon of the powder into a wine glass with hot water and literally 15 seconds later the stains were gone! I used it on all of my wine glasses, even the ones that didn't have wine stains but weren't really crystal clear and now all my wine glasses are sparkling! I also used it to remove water marks on some glass vases! And to top it all off I have an espresso machine, so I have two uses for this product!

I use this to clean my stainless steal coffee press and my coffee mugs.
Simply add powder and water per directions and all remnants of coffee rinse out.

5.0 out of 5 stars AMAZING cleaner for coffee equipment and "special glassware" ;)
Reviewed in the United States on March 13, 2016
As far as coffee equipment goes, I have a very basic Starbucks Barista espresso machine. I soaked the espresso brewhead and my grounds spoon in a solution of water and this detergent and everything got incredibly clean (see one of my pics). As far as I understand it you're not supposed to run this stuff *through* a basic espresso machine like mine, so I use a separate descaler for that Cleancaf Cleaner for Home Coffee and Espresso Equipment, 3 Pack (0.33oz each). I also inadvertently got a photo that illustrates just how powerful this stuff is: I noticed that my to go coffee cup looked a little stained on the bottom, so I filled the cup like 1/3 full with hot water and put a half teaspoon or so of this detergent in. I let it sit for a few minutes and rinsed it out. That's one of my pics -- to my surprise I didn't even realize that the entire inside of my cup had gotten stained! That's why you can see brilliant shiny metal at the bottom and now obviously stained nasty metal near the top. I repeated the process but filled the cup all the way to the top and voila, the cup looked brand new and my coffee tasted better after that. That's the last pic. I will now periodically clean my to go cups and thermoses with this detergent since it's so powerful.

About "special glassware": I'm not going to upload any pics, but here in Colorado one might ingest a certain newly-legal substance through various glass (or other material) paraphernalia. That paraphernalia can get famously gunky and impossible to clean -- UNTIL NOW. Simply soak the paraphernalia in a solution of this product dissolved in hot water and wait 20 minutes or so. ALL of the gunk will just slide out from inside the device -- maybe with a tiny bit of jostling. But seriously, no scrubbing or pipe cleaners are necessary any more. One warning: I don't know if this product takes paint off of glass, so you might want to test it on something first. Of course, a high quality handblown glass device shouldn't have any paint on it, so you're probably good to go.

Lastly you get a TON of this product for a reasonable price, so I'll be cleaning plenty of stuff and one container will last a long time I imagine.
