Straddling the float makes it difficult for the rider to move it under their own power. This is the only issue I see with this float. That's the reason my grandson didn't play with it much..
During use this 8 y.o. tall, 60+ pound boy was supported on this float if seated in the correct area.
I'm hoping to use another for next year's visit as well but that will depend on how much he grows. The price was right and he had fun this summer vacation.
