If you want protection for your scribe …..from dust….then this case is for you. It is clearly not designed to offer much protection from drop damage. I see so many people complain that it offers little to no protection. Obviously. So if that’s what you’re looking for, look elsewhere. If you want something made specifically for the kindle that accommodates its sleek design then this is the one for you. I tried another case which made it too thick and too heavy. For me, personally, it lost its luster. Returned and grabbed this one. Is the leather premium? I don’t know. Is it over priced? Probably. A good one time buy and use for the life instead of buying and trying multiple cases. Decent quality. I bought used and it appears practically brand new.

**update after two months of use. I don’t really understand the dissatisfaction from others for this case. It snaps in well and does not budge. The stand feature works great. I’ve had no issues thus far. Try to buy used because the only criticism I have is that it’s about $30 too expensive. Overall a great case that I find to be very useful.

This scribe cover is a very professional looking way to keep your scribe tablet safe and secure - it has a nice pen holder and a flap that can be folded up as a stand for ease of operations - highly recommended

There is nothing WRONG with this cover. It's nice, sturdy, folds great. It's truly better than nothing. My complaints are that it only holds the Scribe on with magnet and while it's secure if you're just sitting and reading, it's not that secure with travel. Also not appreciated is that it's open on the sides, so it offers ZERO protection when it's raining or from spills or whatever might be lurking in your backpack. I also don't find the propped up angle helpful. It's just not worked as a good angle for me. I got the bundle because it was cheaper than buying the TWO items I needed individually. Now I have an extra item I don't at all need.

I purchased this "premium" leather cover as part of a bundle when I ordered the Scribe with my trade-in discount - price was $92.58. It is definitely not worth even half of that price. It's hard to describe, but the case is a little larger around the edges than the Scribe, so when you hold it you are rolling up the edge. There is no stand; the instructions say you can fold the cover and use it as a stand. I must be doing something wrong because mine won't stay supported by the folded up cover. The loop for the pen is on the bottom of the front flap. It feels awkward and may be contributing to my folding issue since I leave the pen in place unless I am using it. It is only held in place with 4 magnets - one on each corner - and just reading in bed last night I managed to knock it loose. I spent way too much on the Scribe to keep it in a case that doesn't really protect it. I have ordered a different case that will be here next week and am keeping it in a tablet sleeve until then. The Amazon case is going back. It's a shame because the green is really pretty, but it is not protecting my expensive device at all.

I would strongly encourage the official kindle leather cover. I was worried because it didn’t open like a book. I got used to that real fast. The quality is unmatched. I got the green one and love the color. I tried four other cases, but this one wins. It’s really thin and light, holds the pencil in two places. It’s made for the Scribe by the people who made the scribe and it shows.

This cover is fine but doesn’t work as well as a stand to prop up the kindle as it should. It collapses easily. The material is attractive and sturdy and it does protect the kindle surface as I would expect. The best feature, for me, is the place to store the pen, which otherwise would be easy to lose if you carry the kindle around as I do.
