    Kat Baxter is one of those one-click auto-buy authors for me. Her wit, humor and heart comes through in every book and this one is no exception. But this one has hockey, my favorite sport, and such a cute, heartwarming story featuring a reverse age gap with an older, more experienced woman, and the sweetest cinnamon roll hockey player hero I’ve ever read. That’s not hyperbole, that’s just honest to God truth. Charlotte’s experiences as a 30-something pregnant curvy woman were so relatable and rang true. I loved reading how she overcomes her hang ups and chooses to love Max. This novella had it all—heat, heart, and humor. Just read it and enjoy.

    I can not say enough good things about this book! It hits you in all the feels. Max and Charlotte meet up at the airport where he hears her laugh from across the way and just HAS to meet her. Charlotte is supposed to be meeting up with someone she’s been talking to online but has been stood up. There is a bit of an age difference (her being older) and when he starts flirting she thinks it’s a joke. Max knows Charlotte is his one and does everything to get her to spend time with him. They end up stranded because of a storm and she decides to invite him back to her room instead of sleeping at the airport and the sparks fly. After only exchanging first names and no phone numbers they don’t have any way to get in touch with each other. Charlotte ends up pregnant and has no way of contacting Max. As it happens she goes to her brother’s hockey game and Max is on his team. When they meet back up the sparks fly again and Max will do whatever it takes to keep his soulmate! This was an amazing story and I highly recommend it to everyone.

    A hilarious reverse age gap that gives more on the new hockey team, Texas Tornados. Ms. Baxter never disappoints when you visit Saddle Creek.

    Charlotte, 32 years old meets Max a 22 year old at an airport and they have a one night stand. Six weeks later she is pregnant with no way to contact him. Until she goes to a hockey game to watch her brother play and there is Max, he’s on her brother’s team. Max knows Charlotte is his soul mate but getting her on the same page is a bit tougher. Loved this older woman younger man steamy love story. Feel good story throughout and a great happy ever after.

    This was okay. I haven’t read a Kat Baxter book in awhile. I guess the age gap did it for me. It seems weird in a way. I mean most men don’t mature until they are in their late 30s early 40s. So a 22 yr old male with a 31 yr old woman kind of did it for me. But the bad thing about it is if the roles were reversed it wouldn’t seem so bad. I feel like a hypocrite. But it was okay/good.

    Good gosh, Max was one of the sweetest book boyfriends I’ve read in a long time. I mean he is a sweet as sugar and nothing will stop him from getting Charlotte.

    OMG he was the perfect man. So sweet and he was obsessed with her. It took her a bit to catch up to Max but they made it work. Such a cute story
