5 inch regular weight lamp harp with a detachable base and brass plated steel finish
Top of harp accepts 1/4-27 finial, which is the standard size for lamp harps
The saddle, or base, slips a 1/8IP (3/8 inch diameter)
Measures from bottom of harp base to top of harp platform (not measuring the threads on top)
Works as a great replacement for both table lamps and floor lamps

Good quality. My lamp shade wasn’t tall enough, so I used a lower harp to hide the base stem.

All I needed to repurpose an old lamp was a smaller harp. Easy, right? Not at all! Not only have most of the old school lamp stores gone out of business, I couldn’t find any stores that stocked harps or even knew what they were.
This was the perfect size, it delivered fast and now I have a repurposed lamp that’s perfect.

This is the third lamp harp that I have ordered and it still does not fit properly. I have measured and remeasured. I will try the next larger size. I don't know what I'm going to do with all this lamp harps...This is the only, and rather large, drawback ordering on line. I really would have liked to have taken my lamp and lamp shade to a store to try the various sizes. Alas, the lamp stores in my area do not carry such such varied sizes of lamp harps.

A regular light bulb won't work with this. And it costs almost as much for return shipping as the piece costs. I just kept it and hope to find another use for it.

Had no idea these would be so short!
I was looking to shorten my harps so my lampshades would not cover my wall art.
These are okay, but I think a 6 inch harp will be best.
I do, occasionally, make lamps out of things the were never meant to be lamps, so I imagine I will eventually use these.
