I got this tablet for my 3yr old daughter and I'm in love with it! The picture quality is great. The set up is very easy and the tablet walks you through the set up process. I love the preloaded games as they are perfect for learning and playing along. This tablet comes with a charging USB to USB c cord and a charging cube. The screen is big, you can adjust the font size and the screen moves with the your first touch (so no more getting angry for the screen not recognizing your touch). The best thing about this tablet though is the amazing parental controls. I can set a timer for screen use and permission is sent to the parent account before downloading unauthorized content. There is so much more but I am still learning all the features and the amazon kids + makes no wifi areas even more enjoyable. Can't go wrong with this tablet, great buy.

My son loves his tablet. He quickly figured out how to use it. He has a 7 and I upgraded him to the 8 and it's a lot nicer, but we kept the 7 too as a backup because that's still a great working tablet as well and he has had it almost 3 years now.The layout and buttons are in different spots, my son isnt even 4 yet and figured out how to use it within minutes. He can navigate this tablet perfectly and he's learned so much. The new songs and phrases he's been singing and saying since getting this new upgraded tablet with more memory and more educational apps is mind blowing. Every kid needs one of these, especially in the age of technology we're living in. Even if you're not into screen time, it has options to turn it off while they're using it from your phone and to limit how long it can be on during the day. Best purchase I've made in awhile! I'm very happy with it. We couldn't live without it. My son is autistic and his tablet always calms him. Not one complaint! The battery life is great too!

2nd UPDATE: I had to change my rating to 5 stars because the tablet has been great since my last review update. No complaints at all. The sound quality isn't exceptional but for a little kid, it's more than good enough. It's easy for a parent to switch back and forth between kids and adult modes, which is nice. I would recommend to anyone else who buys this not to test it out until it's charged and has had a few hours to update or "warm up," if you will. I'm overall happy with the purchase.

UPDATE: After charging the tablet to above 15%, it seems to be working much better. Apps will now load and I am able to download videos. Screen resolution is actually better than expected. I've decided to give this tablet a chance for a couple days before returning it. I changed my rating from 1 star to 3 due to the fact it was initially extremely slow and unresponsive, which can lead many more people into thinking it's just not going to work. If it craps out again, I'll update my review accordingly.

(Initial review)* I took a chance on this tablet after reading the reviews, thinking perhaps the people who left negative reviews just didn't know what they were doing. Turns out they were all right....this tablet is crap. It's incredibly slow and the apps don't respond when you try to open them or download a game/video. I'm sending it back today. Save yourself the same hassle and just buy an android tablet.

We bought this tablet for our 6 year old, and I was rather surprised at the quality of this tablet. Very easy to set up, great parental controls and the size is perfect for kiddos. Very fast for kids tablet. Huge upgrade from her last that costed more money. Very happy with our purchase! The biggest plus is it has all her favorite princesses on the screen! :)

My son loves it and had to have the Mickey mouse case. The picture is clean and I really love the fact you get Amazon kids for a year with it. As you should when you pay $180 for a 3 year old tablet. So I don't know if it was worth that much when we could've bought a Google tablet from Walmart for $60 that's made for kids. He finds it entertaining and I do like that all 4 of us can have our own profiles. Yes, when he falls asleep I most certainly watch it. Why? Because I can have all of my streaming apps on my profile as well. Such as Paramount, Disney, Hulu, anything I want. The battery holds up fairly well as far as charging goes. It's great for any age to use. I like that I can control it from my parents dashboard and if he wants an app it not only sends a request to my email but it also texts me the request as well. (I'm not so good at staying on top of my emails lol) He has tons of games downloaded plus you can add an SD card to extend the memory.

This by far was a great purchase. I have an autistic grandson who loves to chew and bite everything. He loves to watch his shows and I knew unless there was a good protective covering it wasn't going to last. This has been perfect. Now there are bite marks in it but it still works just the same. It has been a life saver for his tablet. I can't imagine what the life of his tablet would have been without it. This is definetly a must for any child autistic or not. Thank you for durability.

Perfect for toddlers

Bought this for my 2 year old for his birthday since we were going to be traveling. The bright red color is great, and the Mickey on the back my son loves! This is perfect for a toddler, it charges quickly, and holds a charge for days. The picture quality is good, not anything amazing but again perfect for a toddler. It was super easy to set up and immediately start using. I didn’t notice any advertisements, but it’s been a great tablet for a toddler. The case is sturdy, and does the minimum of what’s needed for a 2 year old.

I wasn’t sure if this was going to be a good purchase for my 2.5 yo at first.. the reviews are mixed.

My daughter loves it! Battery life is pretty good. There’s a wide variety of educational games. Very easy set up as well. It operates on WiFi only.. I suggest downloading some movies if you're gonna be on the road or you can use hotspot on your phone.
