My “old” binoculars are 10X50. They were my favorites… until I got the 15X52 GIGAPENGUIN Binoculars. I took them both out for a comparison. Here’s what I love about the 15X52 GIGAPENGUIN Binoculars:
• Compact size with small, padded case – Easy to pack and carry with you
• Nicely padded neck strap – Does not rub on your neck. It’s actually very comfortable, even for long periods of time
• Good grip – The binoculars have a very nice non-slip grip surface. It’s easy to hold and comfortable to handle
• Clear lenses / Clear view – Great for daylight, great for lower light
• Zoom In – While it is true, that because of the tighter zoom, my field of view is smaller, it also means that the picture I do see is considerably larger, and clearer (especially compared to my 10X50)
• Lens Covers – For all 4 lenses, and the front covers are attached, so you don’t lose them, but you can also remove them if needed
• Focus Knobs –There’s one on the right eyepiece, plus the main focus knob in the middle
• There are two features I have not tried yet: The tripod adapter and the Cellphone adapter. I’m waiting to get a tripod before using the Cellphone adapter. I am excited about other reviewers who have posted stunning photos they’ve captured with them, so I am seeking a tripod in order to try it out!
• Overall Quality – It feels solid, and it handles solid. I live in Alaska, surrounded on all sides by stunningly amazing views! Mountains, valleys, streams, etc. These binoculars will allow me to greatly enjoy all of my hiking and hunting trips. I highly recommend!
