1.0 out of 5 stars False advertising!

I already have a asus laptop that I bought Black Friday of 2022 I think. The build quality of the Asus is pretty bad. Flimsy and cheap But I only paid $350 for it so whatever. I checked the price like February 2023 and they wanted $1200 for that. I tried to put a memory card in the slot and it went inside the computer. I had to take the entire computer apart to get my memory card back. It was a 128 GB card that was really expensive when I bought it. I think those things cost about $175 when I bought it. I wanted it back. Unfortunately, all of the I/O Ports self-destructed except the USB 2.0. This forces me to use one of those USB Dongles and it is very glitchy. I also have a Lenovo G80. That computer is eight years old. I love that computer and I will keep using it until it self-destructs, but it is showing its age. I only bought this computer for one reason because the ad said the keyboard lit up. They specifically put in their ad that the keyboard lit up and actually had ‘don’t fear the dark’ in type or some crap like that. Well, that is a total and complete lie. You don’t have to lie about stuff like that. Most people don’t care except gamers. I am a gamer, but I won’t be trying to do it on this computer. I have another computer for that. While the build quality is head and shoulders above the Asus I don’t like being lied to or tricked????????

5.0 out of 5 stars It's a solid gaming laptop!

The picture quality is excellent and it runs smooth. It comes with a Windows 11 active subscription. Just power it up and you're good to go.

It's able to handle the games and programs I use with no issues. The charger is USB C, so I can share with my phone. Sounds quality is nice with the built in speakers.

It doesn't come with much bloatware either. It's only Microsoft apps that come pre installed.

Overall a solid laptop!

4.0 out of 5 stars Not quite 'gaming' laptop

Decent little computer if you get it on sale. It's not quite what I would call gaming as there's no dedicated GPU and anything demanding won't play worth a thing. But if you want to play Minecraft, Roblox and maybe fortnite it'll do the job decently enough with 16 gigs of RAM and a quality CPU with built in AMD graphics.

1.0 out of 5 stars Missing Power Adapter
Reviewed in the United States on July 13, 2024
I recently purchased this laptop, excited to upgrade my work setup. The product description clearly stated that it included a power adapter. However, when I opened the package, I was dismayed to find that the power adapter was missing.

While the laptop itself seems to be of good quality (from what I can tell without being able to turn it on), the absence of such a crucial component is a major inconvenience. I had planned to set up and start using my new laptop immediately, but instead, I'm left with an unusable device and the hassle of contacting customer service.

I'm giving this one star not because of the laptop's potential performance, but due to the incomplete package and the frustration it has caused. It's disappointing that such an oversight occurred with a premium product.

I hope Amazon and the manufacturer can address this issue promptly. For now, I'd caution other buyers to double-check their packages immediately upon receipt.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good computer for the price

I've been looking for a computer for my aspiring software-developing son; I was skeptical of this one for the price and name - I'd never heard of Acemagic before, but after getting it and playing around with it, I have to say, I'm really impressed.

I first installed a few design programs like Photoshop, Premier and Illustrator - it handled them without any issue. It'll also handle VEXcode V5, ROBOTC and Arduino, but there's not really a computer that won't - it does run Unreal engine nicely too. I then moved on to engineering programs like Inventor, Revit and Maya - again, no issues but I was running low on space. Finally I moved on to the big ones I ran some fight simulators like Microsoft flight sim 10, Ansys STK, Open Rocket, Aery32, Matlab, and Stary CCM+ without a hiccup.
I was really impressed though when I installed Hogwarts, Skyrim, Fallout 4, and Subnautica and ran them at full spec (you do need to make sure you've installed the latest AMD graphics driver though).

I currently have 3 monitors attached to it now and I was finally able to get Revit to crash while running Chrome, hogwarts and Revit at the same time - but it sure took some doing. But like I said, I've run a lot of programs on this computer and didn't run into any compatibility issues or graphic issues; I did have to work around the storage issues (it's only .5 TB) so I'll be working on that next. The frame is also a bit shaky and flimsy - it seems to be made from aluminum, but it's a bit thin and you may want to be careful transporting it in a backpack.

This was priced at $1500 with a discount that brought it down to $599 and an additional 20% off coupon bringing it to a little less than $500 with tax. It's a great value for the money and I liked it so much, I bought another one the other day.

3.0 out of 5 stars Very slow
Reviewed in the United States on August 9, 2024
I downloaded the stuff i needed to run my game. It was extremely slow downloading and had to wait several times for it
It was so slow that I hit the downloaded button again several times and ended up with several copies of the software. Not happy

1.0 out of 5 stars This is not a Gaming Laptop
Reviewed in the United States on August 1, 2024
Yes It has a Ryzen 7 chip, which is why I didn't do my homework on the integrated Vega graphics chip! You can likely play minecraft on it. I play solo survival games, they don't require very much graphics. I loaded a small footprint game and walked across the screen, it left 20 shadows of me across my screen. I reviewed the return policy. basically since I opened the box and it would actually turn on it was non returnable! Don.t buy this mislabelled peice of junk!
